make a note if you have a quick play weapon that does not work in FP

for example
my best IS FP weapon bases on stats is "so and so"
note: I would have thought this QP weapon would work but it does not

The team: The sense of teamwork and coordinated execution shared between a unit of twelve skilled pilots is the deciding factor of victory or defeat.

Answer is based on statistics and performance.

The mech and its weapons, independent of a coordinated unit, is superficial in the greater scheme.

P39 and P400 aircraft

the Zero's where giving the US one hell of a time with that weapon
then the P51s came on the battle field and the AAC started to produce Ace after Ace

Uh....thanks for the history lesson. But there were few P-51 in the Pacific theater. The upgrade for the Army came with the P-38. And it being a Twin Engine was a plus over the ocean.

Which is why until the F-35, our Navy has always used planes with two engines.

The P-400 I think might have become a bit of a joke because of its name. It did not live up to it.

The Bell P-39 Airacobra was a ground attack aircraft that was forced into a fighter role.

The Bell P-63 Kingcobra was an improvement but still not a real fighter.

But the Soviets LOVED the Bell P-39 Airacobra.

Find and read Edwin P Hoyt's Guadalcanal. I think you will like it.

As far as your question. The WORSE weapon is LRMs. The rest depends on the map and the game.

In reply to the OP: there is no single "best" weapon, each has it's place in the right situation. However the one thing that is "best" in every situation is TEAMWORK: work, communicate and back-up your team mates.

But I was quite serious.

You can put any pilot in any mech, even the best ones, but if they can't work together, all 12 people, fighting and coordinating to win, the game is lost.

My strength is my team. My potential for victory rests with my ability to work with my team, and for my team to fight together as one cohesive unit.

Without that cornerstone, there is no chance of victory-the mech you bring is irrelevant. There is no one single weapon which can turn the tide of a fight without the pilot in its cockpit demonstrating the competency to do so.

I like ERL and to some degree, ER-M. IS ERL is not really that much worse than Clan, but Clan ERM is clearly better than IS. In same sense Clan med pulse is kinda okay while IS med pulse is really weak. Or the better word would be difficult.

For QP vs FP: that's not a weapon thing. I mean FP has 4 mechs, while each QP you only have one. You can't think four mechs as just four weapon platforms, they got other factors also which many are crucial.

A group of pugs last night took on an ms premade, ended 31 to 48 and made them work for it. They got a nasty shock when we aggressively went for them:)
This was achieved by talking and not playing solo mode.

On clanside:
2 heavy largelasers and 6 mpls on an ebon jag. Stupid and well...stupid but my favourite clan-weaponcombination. 78 alpha laservomit feels just dirty.

On IS side:
UAC5 (boated). Usually weaker than laservomit but so satisfying when I get into the zone.
Most effective would be ERLL on the two and a half maps they are good and LPL medlas combo on nonhot maps
