No, the point is that the HGauss shouldn't be like the original Gauss because we like variety and it's in accordance to the BT's "weapon philosophy" (lasers get big, their optimal range becomes greater with ballistics being the opposite).

HGauss should do its 25 pts of damage up to 270m.

I got one better, there is a Crusader variant (the CDR-8S) that mounts a 260 isXL with an HGR in the LT with it split into the CT... talk about really making a point as to why we either need to reduce the crits of the HGR down to 9 or figure out crit-splitting....
