This year the loyalty variants are especially important and exiting because of the tech update. There are countless of excellent variants with FCCW-era tech waiting for us, many of which should be in the game anway. It's no longer scraping the bottom of the barrel; there is an ocean of opportunities. From this point of view it is almost impossible to be disappointed.

But then, PGI spearheaded the civil war era with Mechs that had little or nothing to do with the Civil War... I have not yet bought the Nightstar and the Nova Cat but I intend to do so. The loyalty variants may very well decide what pack I'll get.

Remember when the King Crab was a loyalty mech, before the KGC line was even out for cbills?

I wish they would go back to doing releases like that.

The releases last year were been super underwhelming.

I really wished I had got that ECM stalker, just didn’t want to spend $40 on 2 duplicate mechs + some premium time.

pgi should make it so anybody can afford the rewards going by type of mech pack or mechs bought. Lowest 10$ hero or light mech pack means you get the lowest loyalty mech etc. I wouldn't want to spend $40-95 to get a %10 mech even though I do love the lights and buy the ones I have interest in a lot.

They have given out mechs just for having played between a certain time (battle master and centurion from Memory) but not sure if these are specifically part of the loyalty package.

ECM ninja urban mech would be awesome, but we will probably get something like a dragon with a unicorn and rainbow paint job
