On the scoreboard you can right click on peoples' names and report them.

There's been a lot of TKing lately, mostly from fresh accounts. =/

Hello, dany25579... There is a system built-in to MWO, where if you kill your own Teammates (referred to as TeamKilling), then the Matchmaker will pull you out of the queue for certain levels of time. That system has a 4-Hour CoolDown on resetting what level of penalty it applies. If someone goes around wiping 3 Teammates off the board at the start of a match, don't expect them to be able to cause you more trouble for a while. PGI's Matchmaker will try to stop them from causing trouble for you. However, don't forget to hold your ScoreBoard key down, and click the appropriate report information to further inform PGI's Staff of what that troublemaker has done.

As for you, don't kill Teammates if you can avoid it, because the Matchmaker is an "Equal Opportunity Punisher". No reason to knock yourself out of the queue, if you can manage to play without having to disrupt your own experience over it. Oh, and welcome to MechWarrior Online, pilot... Good luck out there. ;)

Couldn't PGI simply implement an in-match auto shutdown (similar to overheat) over a specific amount of in incurrred team damage? It wouldn't prevent the initial TK but would a least limit the damage to the given match. Maybe even tag/hilight the TK mech and disable the team fire penalty for his "teamates"?....And maybe limit this new behavior to new accounts (I don't think Tks are going to sacrifice a "real" account)...

For 1 teamkill you are temp banned for 1 Minute? No worries.

my advice is to send an e-mail to moderation
and explain what happened (date--time--map)
they can look at the tapes (so to speak)
you will get an automatic in game penalty but I would
still send an e-mail to explain things

There are two "official" ways to report someone. In game, by right clicking on the guy's name on the roster and following the dropdowns and by sending an email to support@mwomercs.com.

Additionally, the game has a built in punishment system where it will delay you from entering another match for a couple of minutes so you have a chance to go to the bathroom or get a snack or something.

Thing is, intentional TKs aren't as common as some would lead you to believe. Many of those are fresh accounts built to do that specifically, so....trial mechs. Most of them are because of the standard reasons....zoomed in and didn't see you in his peripheral, clan LRMs that lost the lock but got fired anyway, spazz firing at a locked target without confirming line of sight, etc....you know, rookie mistakes.

PUG survival 101: Never let a "Knight Errant," "Survivor," or any mech painted to look like a trial mech get behind you. They're more apt to shoot your rear than the enemy's front. Use their armor before you use yours.
