The idea: If a player uses less than the maximum tonnage on a mech or on a dropdeck, that player should get a reward. For example 5% more C-Bills, XP and GXP for running the mech one ton lighter. Maybe a different percentage for the bonus depending on weight class, for example (per ton) for assaults 5 %, heavies 10%, mediums 15%, and lights 20%.
The same would be nice for dropdecks. It would give some players an incentive to not max out their dropdecks. Such a dropdeck bonus could also give more faction rep. For example running a dropdeck 10 tons lighter gives 10% more for all gains.

So you want to implement batchall to FP? Brilliant idea, but minimum tonnage must remain to avoid lightrushes

What about added bonuses for using less common mechs if you want to avoid the light rushes? The idea would to also encourage diversity in chassis usage.

Oh man, I like that. Those bonuses had to be substantial, otherwise people would never give up their meta optimized maxed out drop decks.
But: light rushes have not much to do with this idea. Most of the time a light rush as opener is basically every player in the team getting rid of the one light mech in the deck in a group efford that is enormous fun for both sides. Clan minimum tonnage allows for a light deck with for example one Summoner and three Cheetahs. It's a very good deck. Trust me.
