I think it's about time the Periphery got a mech pack of it's own.

Raptor II is deadlier, more effective, and sexier.

Because the Raptor II looks like generic Clanner (even though Wobbie) angry bird-mech trash and, if you pay attention to the Raptor II's weapon loadouts and the fact that the OG Raptor is an Omni that can combine pods, is actually less deadly.

To be fair though, I'm kind of curious what kind of troll weapon the Taser would end up being in this game. It could be worse than Dragon Bowling.

It's only 25 tons. It cant be any deadlier than a mech with dedicated tonnage and podspace for larger weapons.
At worst, we get a good looking shadowcat, at best, we have an op 40 tonner.

Sounds like an annoying mechanic that MWO should never have. Heat-based stuff like Flamers are acceptable because the person getting hit still has control over if they fire over the limit (90% cap) and can get around it by using low-heat weapons.

A mech taser on the other hand...let's not go there.

You underestimate it.

The Locust is a better 'Mech than a Shadow Cat, and even mocks the Cicada, using a mere six lasers because it is very small and very agile. The Raptor is only a little bit bigger, but gets almost twice the number of lasers as well as jump jets.

The Raptor II is, by contrast, very big and only gets three lasers. And even inflated to six, they wouldn't be any bigger than the lasers you put on a Locust or Cicada or Blackjack.

I'll take the Raptor over the Raptor II, kthnx.

Comstar has the best mechs in the Inner Sphere because they have Star League era specific mechs. The Wobbies essentially pumped out ugly, gimmicky trash for decades.

Venom A should get armour quirks, while Venom C should get sensor/agility quirks so distinguish themselves better.

My vote goes to Raptor
