Me, I could afford to purchase what's needed, but not worth it.
My alt I was searching for Trials that could fill the lack of C-Bills needed to have the equipment to complete a couple of the events, forgot and ended up spending over 2 mil, something he could not afford, and what portions he can complete will not get the 2m back.

like the idea of the event, but it has a higher cost to complete, then reward in return

if there were more then just a couple trials one could use to use for the event, wouldn't been such a bad event.

might think how many trials can be used in a event as part what type of event.

It's especially not worth it since you get 500.000 but have to spend 2.000.000 to buy the uncommon ballistic weapons ..

Running on 3 days of this event and it still doesn't show up no matter what I do.

Sent in a support ticket and it still doesn't work. So working as intended?

Really weak rewards for this event...cockpit baubles and 500,000 C-Bills per achievement doesn't nearly cover the expense of having to outfit ballistic platforms with the necessary AC/UAC/LBX/Gauss weapons, so it's a money losing proposition in-game.

Who came up with this idea?

This. PGI just doesn't play their own game to understand that the C-AC20 is rubbish... Yet why make it double as hard as the rest of the C-LBX-20/C-UAC20?

Did you also know that an AC-20 costs over 1MCbills? Yet the reward is only 500k... Rewards are not worth it, c'mon!

PGI why don't you actually try play your game?

So yeah I bought some MC for the first time to get the Bushwhacker High Roller so that I could try some of those challenges. As many have pointed out I was taken aback by the costs of the weapons. Machine Gun challenges are fine but looking at the autocannon challenges it's no way! Buying an AC2, AC5, AC10 and AC20 just for 500k CB and a cockpit item? Anyway I took off my AC10 and did the rotary challenges, but drained my wallet to nothing to buy the RAC2 and RAC5. The weapons are fun and the BSW is a fun mech so the rotary and mg challenges should be no issue, but I won't do the AC/UAC challenges, too difficult for me. But I appreciate the devs adding such challenges. Looking forward to daily challenges, maybe something easier like score 4000 pts or get 25 base captures something along those lines. Basically encourage people to play, rather than "try new builds".

Phew, within the little time i habe i managed to accomplish all IS challenges, except Gauss.
My clan account has no MC and not much C-bills, so even buying hte weapons needed to get even one challenge was way too much.

Anyway, thanks for the event. In the end i spent mor c-bills than i earned, and i nearly don't use Cockpit items, but it still was kinda fun.

At this point, I'm curious what my odds are of randomly meeting any of the event requirements, since the event browser still isn't working for me....

rewards vs costs - even with the tourney pack, the costs to outfit mechs for each ballistic weapon in the game far exceeds the total rewards.

damage goals - would have been better with the ultras having double the value of the lbx and std ac, also swap the lmg and hmg values. that hmg range is terrible

side question - is there a clan heavy that can run 2 x ac20? i have most of them but either didnt have the tonnage or didnt have the available slots to run 2 x ac20. ended up using my scorch as the direwolf was too slow

Honestly think all rewards should be injected automatically, the only possible exception could be x2 EXP boosters or similar, but why would you not want to claim C-bill/mech/mechbay etc rewards immediately?

As long as the rewards don't expire it's better to let the player decide. Anything automatic, some player somewhere will complain. Eg no free mechbay when the mech is auto rewarded or you only have one bay left and you were saving it for another mech then an auto reward seized the bay instead. As long as you can list one exception others will list more exceptions so just leave it to the player. Tho the icon should flash if a reward has been unlocked.

Maybe the devs are thinking that these are challenges and not rewards. Hence the reward is winning the challenge?

If I could make a suggestion to the devs, add a super challenge eg complete 10 challenges and make the reward bigger eg 10m c-bills or a mech. This will greatly incentivise completion of challenges regardless of costs to players.

Day 3 still no event page working even after patch. *sighs* this is getting aggravating. but I'm not going to throw salt or drama.. just going to post a 2nd time. also a picture recently taken I put in discord first to see if any of my Friends that do play MWO can help. keep in mind I've done a Clean reinstall, and tried to repair it. still the same thing. I'm doing another one as I type this. but I'm not too keen that it would work.

well did another clean install still the same thing.... I really wish I can get my rewards

Guys, are you serious? I read your comments and do not know where I was. I see a herd of enthusiastic players on the forum and hear a great amount of discontent when I play with pilots in the TS what's going on? =) Are you getting paid?

I suggest that you log in on another computer from a user which doesnt have your problems in your area to CLAIM the rewards !

Maybe that solves your problems on your own computer too

Why worst ACs need most dmg??

Must be (for AC / UAC / LBX):
AC2 - 750 dmg
AC5 - 1500 dmg
AC10 - 750 dmg
AC20 - 500 dmg
