those flames looks strange... it looks like a "stick" and not a flush of a liquid in flames

I agree. The flamers do look like they need some work. Perhaps some particle trails will do the trick to make it look more fluid when being waved around. Generally the tip of the flames shouldn't be perfectly aligned with the source when it's moving from side to side like that. It should lag behind a little. Anyway, it's a minor thing for me. The video was great overall and it was nice to show a close-up headshot along with the physics of the torn off arm getting blown away.

And there was already video footage of the flamers before, in the Light 'Mech video.

To the colors: If you look at that scene in 1080 and pause it while he's firing, the beginning of the lasers looks red. Possibly it has something to do with that strange, unhealthy green colour the whole map has about it?

To the hunchback at the end of the video frying the already crispy dead mech....

And no, Forest Colony never got any reveal video.

Wow, I absolutely LOVE the look and the atmosphere of this valley.

An area exploited by industrial complexes and filled with caustic fumes totally fits the BT universe, great idea!

Map looks awesome guys!

But...um, hrm, this is awkward...how many proof-readers do you guys have?

I ask due to this:

Quote

Battling in a land of acidic haze and caustic heat, be...

Which is it, acidic or caustic(also, heat cannot be caustic)?

Do I have my mechanic toss in some baking soda or tomatoes in case I get some on me?

I love the looks and the hot environment and personally I can't wait. I'll bet though, this map will will give all borderline gpus fits trying to process the caustic smoke pouring from the plant. I anticipate allot of complaints regarding frame rates.

Nice counter-balance to the frozen city but does bring up some interesting questions...

Is the heat evenly higher or are there hotter spots (ie the caldera they mentioned)?

Does the caustic water do small amounts of damage to submerged portions of your mech?
This could make for a great dilemna: caustic water cools your mech but damages the legs in the process; is it worth it for you?

Very Nice! Can't wait to play this map!

And did anyone notice that the Awesome has been piloted several times in the vid?
Because It would seem to be such a good idea to use a PPC-heavy 'Mech on a hot Map. :P

The Awesome also has 28 heatsinks. Despite it being an Energy Boat, the base stock Awesome runs pretty cool.

An Awesome isn't a hot running mech. Sure it's got hot weapons, but it's has mroe heatsinks than ANY of the original mechs introduced in TRO 3025.

Looks like the Jagermech might be a fn ride on this map however. Runs very cool, and it's got great range. Those AC2s will eventually add up :(
