Apparently, neither have you if this is any indication.
Honestly, it's more a matter of Cougars being real-money only at that point. Once they drop to C-bill status, you'll see more of them, just like the Kit Fox.

Where in the leaderboard stats does one get an indication of "couldn't figure out how to not cook themselves with all of its laser hardpoints"? Posted Image

Yeah, well, would be neat if we didn't have to chose between running good 'Mechs and variety, but alas...

The .10 K/D, which means he's either a terrible shot or has been repeatedly melting down from his own laser fire. Perhaps both. The under-200 match score means it's not from getting bunches of assists instead.

Ill be honest, I dont really feel there are really any OP mechs~ lots of underpowered mechs for sure, things I never ever ever ever ever ever see, like Jenners or Vindicators or Victors or Highlanders (I see more awesomes than those two together). But of the mechs I do see lots of (linebackers, Madcat IIs, Maurauder IIs, Bushwackers, Ebon Jaguars, Arctic Cheetahs, Cyclops, Mist Lynx) the only real mechs I feel are overperformers are maybe, just maybe, the Arctic Cheetah and the Linebacker, but that is a very loosely held opinion.

I have only played my Cou-C since its release. I will ONLY play my Cou-C. I'm not great at this game but you ******* know when its me. You know why? I've never seen another cougar pilot. I bet most of them couldn't figure out how to not cook themselves with all of its laser hardpoints.

There are Cougars out there, but most of them are hiding in the back with fatties.

The Cougar is no hotter then any other mech, dunno where you got that idea. I run two er ppc pop tart pretty regularly and have no probelm with overheating, nor do i in any other mech.

If you can manage heat then you can manage heat, The Cougar isnt some impassable DHSless mountain.

I don't always run the Cougar, but when I do, I run it with 1HLL and 6 ERML. It's my kind of light mech.

I run the Crow with 2 HLL and 5 ERML. With the recent heat containment buff it will be even better.

That build has made me love my SCR again. 60+ (36 on the two HLL) alpha is so much better then the splash cERPPC had right?

RIGHT!?!?!?!

You're in the wrong thread, this is about how ppl should intentionally gimp themselves with Bracket builds, not being try-hard and building an OP mech Posted Image

What is a try-hard build and what isn't nowadays? Is a Cyclops with UAC5s and PPCs a try hard build? 6 UAC2 Mauler? Gauss vomit Boiler? UAC5/PPC Marauder? People on this forum would surely applaud the use of a Quad ER PPC Warhawk but that was also a tryhard build (before this patch anyway) so what gives?

I want some consistency from the whine house here.

Perhaps this helpful illustration could illuminate the issue for you. Just replace 'rank' with 'build.'
