Pretty normal I'd say. People who are moral believe others have goodness inside them. People who have faith believe others are seeking it. People who are liars believe others are dishonest. Easiest way of figuring a person out, everyone sees in others what they have within themselves.

People cheat for a lot of reasons and often that involves trying to justify to themselves why their cheating is okay, given that people whoncheat are largely worthless pieces of **** and every game is better with them banned. That's a bit different from adjusting mouse sensitivity in game settings.

I went from full potato to semi competent inside of 3-4 months. The finer details took a lot longer but T1 comes easily if you can manage the 4 points above.

You left out being able to hit anything you are aiming at.

My torso twist is weird. Because of the surgey to my right hand/wrist, I started doing a backing up left and right with my movement buttons with a slight right hand use of torso twising. I have to remember to work on changing it.

Those are 4 good points. maybe you should also add "stop your obsession with Flamers and Machine Guns".

I still make that "mistake". I have a lot of hard to play (for me) Mechs. If I stopped playing silly lights and stayed with only my best mechs i'd raise my Tier faster. Heck, I'm dropping right now. I'm in a real funk.

I'm not sure how you cheat here but with PC games it is always possible. I'm not computer savy.

That is one reason I like my PS4. Everyone playing has the same CPU etc. Everyone is at the same frame rate etc.

I would suggest this to those trying to improve. Record your games. Not stream them, just record them. Then you can see where at 2:34 in the match you went off by yourself and died or whatever. Get OBS Studio which is free here.

if i tried to record my games my computer would explode. good thing im getting a new video card psu and another ssd in a couple weeks. couldn't really afford to upgrade the rest of the system this year unfortunately.

CPU upgrade for this game is far more important than GPU. You can pair an old GTX 770/780 with a new overclocked i5/i7 and get 80-100 fps, but pair a GTX 1070 with an old CPU, and you'll get 40-50 fps

I'm still running a old dog i7-2600k with a GTX1070 and getting 60-70fps @ 2K

Admittedly the it sit @ 4.5ghz on water but it hasn't missed a beat in 5 years. And going by CPU useage I'm not struggling.

I think everyone has a better PC than I do. OBS does not take up any resources as far as I can tell.

I can only play on the lowest settings anyway.

im running a 4790k. i wanted to do new build this year, but any cpu i could afford would not be as good as this 3 year old beast of a processor. especially considering id need new ram (pretty sure were using ddr4 for no other reason than to make me buy new ram), new mobo, and new psu and id still be stuck with the same video card ive been running for years.

its not that i dont get 60fps easy. but i got some power problems with my gtx750ti that causes some game crashes. i believe this stems from the fact that the card pulls all its power over the pcie connector and does not have a direct connection to the psu. and a little bit better card means i can use my 4k monitor at 4k. and i can buck the core components upgrade to next year, get a cpu that is actually better and more ram.

Oh yeah if you have a 4790K, the new card makes sense. My point is really more for those with potato computers that think buying a new video card will fix all their issues.

At the same time though, if you had a i7-7700K @ 5.0Ghz, your GTX 1070 would be running 120-150 fps (and assuming you have a 144hz monitor, would look/play so much smoother)

Most likely it would be better... But... Australia tax.

GPU was the better choice for most games (at the time)

I think this is really fantastic advice; I've done this in the past and a lot of the time you can really get an idea where you went wrong in a given match, and correct your behavior for the future.

Why is OP talking of tiers in the Faction Play forum? FP doesn't affect tier rating at all. Anyway I took me about 2000 games to get into T1, and that's with my old beta stats sandbagging me from the start. A fresh account should move up a bit quicker by doing well.

pfft Yeah, I'll check when I get home. It's about a year and a half old.

Quad core processor. 8gig ram vid card.

To make it even funnier, last season running at 30fps and under I still had a 2.23 kdr.
