Simple idea for giving new players and others a mode specific to trial mechs. Either a randomly selected mech for each player for each game, or limiting the players choices for playing trial mode to trial mechs. In this mode, you earn cbills, XP and can complete challenges and achievements, but your match scores are not saved into the leaderboards system.

This wouldn't be a massively popular mode, and it isn't meant to be one, but it does allow people to "test play" the game in unranked and an only slightly competetive environment. Also it may make some of the werider events easier or less risky to cover (also some people might just prefer this mode too).

With this in mind the game setup would mirror QP, maybe with less players, 8v8, with the 2/2/2/2 setup of mech classes, for example.
