SPACE BUCKS.
POrobably IS mechs. My clan stable is rather robust right now. I have almost all of the relevant omnis other than EBJ, Huntsman, and NTG.
I would have bought the BSW-X2 but I have the Hihger roller (though the X2 is bascially better).
I think the MAD-3R is a must for me.

Might also consider the MAL-MX90 if you're in the market for an assault. 5xAC/5 and 3xAC/5, 3xAC/2 are pretty fun and unique builds.
If you still need an EBJ, get one while it's on sale. Very good clan heavy to have available.

Because it can mount one and exactly one weapon system (okay, technically three, but two of them are garbage), which isn't helpful for the event as a whole.
Or the game as a whole, really, but people will always be salty when they get stripped by a memelynx and not, oddly, at all the crap that tore their armor to shreds in the first place.

10% ballistic range quirk. Besides, you can do 3 ballistic on torso. Such as 3xAC5. I won't use energy/missile weapons on it anyway. The X2 has better agility so if you want you can certainly use that one as well. It is all about preferences.

Yea, I looked at it on smurfy and I see what you mean. I usually run guns on my IS mechs, so focusing on torso ballastics is a smooth move. Personally, I am apprehensive about more than 2 guns with a medium, but the build I saw made it work. Honestly it had ample ammunition, to the point with the magazine extension skills I'd imagine it could fit a laser or 2...
Huntmans seemed nice, but I have 3 Hunchback IICs from back when I was buying mechs in 3s. I have a friend who just starters, and I advised him to get a Hellbringer and a Huntmans as early mechs to experiment with, then he went balls deep and bought a KDK 3 all with his cadet bonus. XD

I love the Huntsman, but I hate the Huntsman. It's a 'mech where I really feel that the hero (Pakhet) is required, just so that you own those ST pods. You can do Splatsman builds without them, but they are so much better than the arm-based builds that it's just silly.
And I really feel that what makes the Huntsman worth owning is the ability to turn your Discount Hunchback IIC into a Discount Splatdog at a moment's notice.
