Good day/eve all:

Have an IS TC-7, which Mech Lab "tool tips" on hover indicate it buffs projectile speed 33%.

I equipped ERPPCs, alongside the TC. Yet, when the TC is equipped or unequipped, the display on weapons velocity buff for the ERPPCs is unchanged.

The ERPPC velocity buff from the Skill Tree shows, but nothing from the TC.

IIRC the TC used to buff ERPPC velocity (Clan-side), but for a while on PTS, there was no velocity buff. The patch notes however say that both velocity and beam range are buffed by both Clan and IS Targeting Computers.

My questions are as follows then:
  • Are TCs supposed to buff both ballistic and PPC (all or some types of PPC) velocity?
  • If "no" why do patch notes and in-game tool tips say they do?
  • If "yes" are the tips in the Mech Lab just broken, or is the mechanic broken (e.g. no actual buff/effect in-game)?
  • If the mechanic is broken, is there an ETA on the fix?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hello vathalios, so to answer you :

Tc buff AC/UAC Velocity (not lbx BTW) and ppc (all of them).
This buff was not displayed on Mechlab which only display "quirks buff"
Next time I can give you as advice try in testing ground with Tc 7 and without and you can validate/unvalidate what you are thinking by yourself.

Have good drops.

No because they are hitscan already.

TCs don't do anything to MGs
Only Range and Bonus ammo nodes help MGs

Uan,

Many thanks for clearing that up. And what you say about MGs is correct IIRC, TCs never were supposed to buff MGs.

All sensor equipments, artemis targeting, and tag bonuses only appear INGAME or in the testing grounds. They've never shown up in the mech lab. Targeting computers specifically list what things they apply bonuses to, and MGs isn't one of the things.
