So if I buy the K9 hero mech...does that qualify me for the IS portion of the year reward to get the IS award mech ( I have already met the clan part etc)

It would qualify you for the Griffin GRF-5M. Not the Victor, though.

Victor in my book, will be so worth it for the 3 ballistic hard points. Even tho it will be released for c-bills at a later date. Its going to be a 5 ton heavier CTF-IM Ilya Muromets with jumpjets. 3 AC10's and 3 medium lasers here I come. \o/

i got the clan lower tier just buying heros though i did buy 2 of those.
