PGI please redesign the head.
Cause every time i look at it, this picture pops up in my brain.
Get rid of those round narrow eyes on the side.

As always it will stay and fall with its hitboxes and its transition from concept to ingame animation.
Locust is good because it is not humanoid and the only outright good humanoid light is good because it still has the most buggy hitboxes of all mechs around.

do the Clans need really this Metamech ? Dear PGI take a look at your CW Map.
Allright , you can not use all the given Hardpoints in this little 20t Mech. But 12 Ballistic HP or 15 Energy HP , 4 AMS !?
I miss the ECM and the JJ, Superman have to fly......

I logged in for the first time in a while to say that I ******. Been praying for the Piranha to finally make it into a Battletech game.

the hitboxes look like they'll be better than the locust's if anything. locusts are relatively easy to CT in my experience, and even if you hit side torso that's still a potential kill due to IS XL. the piranha shouldn't have any problems unless it turns out to be 35 tonner size or have a CT hitbox that covers 90% of its body. if i had to guess though, i'd say the CT region will probably be the slightly protruding strip along the middle as well as the head.

PGI seems to always go forward in reinforcing the meta some more for each patch and each content addition.

If now machine guns are in high proliferation there will be no reason pilot nothing else but piranhas.

I see what you did there, Piranha games,=piranha the ultimate mech.

Machinegun Warrior Online is now truly a thing.
Although the 4 AMS variant is interesting too.

Jokes aside, the hardpoint inflation happening here is completely insane and I have the bad feeling that 12 MGs will provoke an MG nerf, from which the Piranha will suffer the least. And 15 energy hardpoints, really?

What John McHobo is saying is quite true.

- Why do you inflate the hard points so much?
- Why do you give Clans so many light chassis machine gun boats which IS is not having at all?
- Nerfing this weapon system would be quite bad because it would punish the IS light with less hardpoints.

So, please lock on the hardpoint balance and please don't nerf the MGs. Please create mechs for the IS that have the same amount of hardpoints being a light chassis or reduce the hardpoints of the Piranha and e.g. the Myst Linx.

Check Sarna. They did't need to inflate hardpoints on this one.

(but yes, I wanted some 6+ MGs IS mechs too)

The -3 got 2 extra hardpoints, but that still gives it less than the -1 or -2. Aside from the hero, the PGI-exclusive variants have the least amount of hardpoints.

it's not hardpoint inflation, the piranha just has an assload of MGs/lasers in its stock loadouts. that said, i wouldn't mind some buffs to IS machine guns and other weapon systems that are flat out inferior to their clan counterparts, as well as perhaps giving some hardpoint-starved mechs a bit more to work with.

PGI didnt make this 12 hardpoint thing up, they already had this choice available from from SARNA cannon, and it's a bad choice because the only criteria is that it will be popular in sales but will scare away the rest of the player base.

Literally stripping the chicken open for its golden eggs.
