so another robo/mech pew pew game less. Sure it was much different from a classical mech game. But on PC we lost another one.

That is sad.

I never played it, always meant to, but never did.
I know for a while a fair number of people claimed it was better than MWO, always wondered how accurate they were.
What time I had online for gaming I usually spent working on MWO though.

Now that opportunity is lost Posted Image

Edit:
Maybe there will be user servers (or however it is called)?

There is always hope. Posted Image

Noticed that, but for the next while what had been my gaming internet usage is going over to schooling and trying to find a new job.

Still a chance, but... Posted Image

This is one of those games that bought the hype that all gamers are FPS players, a real problem with North American game developers, never mind that the truth is so much more different.

I wouldn't say its better because it is a very different game. It honestly feels like it has more in common with Titanfall/CoD than MWO as its quite a twitch shooter with basically two weapons systems (and the secondary gear like explosive charge you can shoot at enemies)

When HAWKEN released, I took a look at some gameplay vids and just felt like I didn't need "just another arena shooter but with mech skins".

Good bye and good riddance because ever since that game came out their hardcore "fanbase" did nothing except come here and promote that damn game and sh*t on this one, sway votes, and start all sorts of trash arguments in the forums that canned topics and too much in-game comparing of the two games. There were even topics made in these forums spitting on the fact that we didn't have destructive physics, and less than a week later their devs coincidentally spit out some vid of their game having destructive physics in a test mode. Thank goodness this back and forth BS is finally over with those nuts. Clearly their game is different than ours just based on the longevity of this one.

heh.

before i tried mwo again, i also took a bit of a look at hawken, seeing the faster movement and stuff as interesting. but then i realized it had no depth, and mwo just became a lot more attractive.

funny however, how many friends i have, that have tried hawken, but never tried mwo, or "just plan to".

I won't miss it tbh. but I am also not gloating.
there is still robocraft ;)

I almost dropped money on it 2 years ago when it had a playerbase and had competent producers directing the game, glad I didn't.

I got some good fun out of it. It just never really developed the teamplay component that really would have made it spectacular.
