The in game event tab looks likes there's also a win condition?
Corrrect, the ingame event browser is more clear and detailed. I would not say they are conficting, as the web page clearly misses information.

everyone seems to be interested in the efforts of the event so far....
I got another thing to say:
I'm bored sick an tired of yet another event meaning nothing else than play same maps , same mechs same objectives , over and over again and call it the battle of luthien or whatever...
It may be a thing for the mechwarrior community to stick to that lore thing but,,,yeah that's what the game is all about in my opinion. No dull shooter in a universe with big machines stomping around.
So refering to the threat ...it can't be that much of a problem to bring up a real event, like with some new ideas, like one new map for example to storm the imperial palace or some thing. Bring up small pre events to for example make clan units bid or at least compede for the right to enter a planetary corridor, it wouldn't be that hard to do such things PGI. whats happening right now on the fw map mirrors the absolute lazy attitude..."oh well we closed on tharkad but we're not allowed to start an attack until someone calls it an event, so lets close on the other IS capitals and see what happens..." . Please PGI this kills the great opportunity in the MW universe...
See you on the battlefield

Just wait till the IS weekend warrior horde join in droves for this event. It will end up with Clan victory unless the goal is to get capture bar to 99%

13 months since P.G.I. promised loyalist events
only 8 months over due.(to be started ~last February.)
Another run of the mill faction play event that will be decided by which side the mercs decide to faction stack.
A "loyalist" event where loyalist participation doesn't matter.

If the I.S. wins, a Mauler Mal-mx90
At least Kurita can win some shiny bobbles
Decal: House Kurita
Kurita Stained Glass
Kurita Mauler (camo pattern)
Holo Kurita
Kurita Green
Kurita Banner
Kurita Warhorn
Decal: Word - Kurita
Guess how many of them i don't all ready own.
Answer 1. Decal: Word - Kurita
Can you just feel my excitement?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with Reality.. If the Inner Sphere wins I would be VERY VERY Surprised.
LOL.
IS won't.
For IS to win the event, Clans would have to voluntarily give up the easy button and a guaranteed event victory.
No, Clans will be complaining about dry drops within days of the event start.
IS will point and laugh.

If the big Merc units go IS then IS will win.
And there's a considerable chance they will. They will go where the biggest rewards can be attained fastest.
They don't need the advantage of Clan tech to win events largely populated by PUGs.

Big FP units are clan loyalists, can't switch in time even if they want to.

You don't have to disband your unit, you do have to wait until your current contract expires to change factions. Once it's expired and you're a merc unit without a contract, open the 'Careers' tab in the FP menu and select Loyalist. Choose which faction you wish to pledge loyalty to.
Thank you for answer!

After all this time and promises....they give us a basic Clan v. IS event.
Nothing we haven't really seen before...and seen recently.
Not IS v. IS or Clan v. Clan....just the same ol' same ol'
Hey...I am glad that we can actually get a battle that effects a seasons win conditions, etc. I will take any tiny scrap of "making it matter" that I can get. So, it's not the details of the announced event that are bothering me...it's what it probably should have been that bugs me.
I was under the impression when these events were promised that these events would be offer back some of what was lost when we went to 1 bucket...(this totally doesn't)....so, yeah they got me on that one.

Thanks...didn't see that...
but yeah.."near future"......Hmmm.... my idea of "near future" might not be the same as theirs. I do root for PGI (despite past disappointments), but for once I would like to be really surprised (in a positive way) by them....But, I am not going to cling to hope.
