The straight arms version is far more lethal looking though

I just wish the (S) Nightstar had a few more torso hardpoints... It's going to be crit-locked bad... I really wanted to buy the Nightstar, I love the (S) camo, and its frame will make it super durable. But a 95 tonner with so few hardpoints, and all but one of the hardpoints in the arms, which have every actuator taking up crit space... Even just one more side torso energy hardpoint would make me happy, something so I can stick more than one heavy energy weapon with the ballistics... Won't even be able to mount 2 LL alongside the Gauss Rifle as it is now...

The arms are fixed!

...and yet the Nova STILL has that janked left arm, the Timber Wolf STILL has that janked right knee, and the Timber Wolf Prime (I) STILL has those "bike wracks" tacked only half way on.

The new comers are getting fixes overnight, and the old ones are STILL waiting in line for theirs.

Emphasis on "slightly". As in "minimal" or "nowhere near what PGI initially did". Posted Image

Arm lasers are more or less on cockpit level, arm gauss rifles just below that. And PGI's current rendition is pretty close to that. At least a lot closer than the old one.

do you even own the miniature? the pictures you show are very poor angels.

As you can see the Left arm is trusted out, and the arms are more than slightly emphasized lower.
nothing you say will change my mind. the original design they had was spot on. the straight out is not good looking at all.
I do not care what the meta players want.
if they want straight arms so bad than tell PGI to make "/ " raise the arms of mechs to do this.Posted Image

That model clearly shows one arm below cockpit level (the right) and one level with it (the left), so it supports both the new and old versions of the NSR, as well as neither of them.

Also, the arm joints on that mini are further back on the 'mech and higher up. Straight arms on that mint would put the arms well above the cockpit.

Alex's work has the arms straight out. So does the original tabletop mini.

that last sketch is perfect... shorter arms, wider torso, compact sidetorso pylons, symetrical hardpoints, even the cockpit looks perfectly evolved from a marauder,... just badass...
