Canceling my pre-order right now, they decided that the nightstar also needs to have it's arms slanted downward- AKA pre-nerf,, you know they decided that it might be a decent IS mech and we couldn't have that. Much lower than in the art where you order. The IS already has plenty of assault mechs that the arms are too low, poo-poo.

Shame on you PGI for tricking us into thinking this mech might be worth a crap so we would order it, I guess I should have known better- cause balance.....er....ah....er.

15% Spheroid pick rate is simply TOO HIGH for MWOWC2017 SF

We must keep that number down!

As much as I love this mech I admit I've got some serious concerns about it gameplay wise.

It's this kind of dumb***, bone-headed, "who thought this was a good idea" sort of situation that leads a lot of people into thinking that PGI has both no f***ing clue what they're doing, and that they're actively trying to sabotage themselves.

I'm sure we can get it fixed. Went back through any artwork I could find on it and none of them have that sag. A little bit maybe to give it a cool look, sure but this is like 20 degrees, and does not look right, paired with the way the gauss and weapons are angled.
This is going to get fixed.

That said the models themselves, over angled arms aside look pretty damn nice.

So what if it comes pre-gimped. That just means more quirks! And everyone knows all the most OP mechs have gobs of quirks. Whoo-hoo!! Eat your heart out Atlas!

Aww hell, I can't even manage good sarcasm with this blatant of a screw up.

Needs arms raising and hands need chopping, also them ST look very targetable /:

Gauss ppc ghost heat should be removed from IS mechs too

idk , I still say wait till we get the side by side shots, see how its neutral stance is (arms could be at the bottom arc of the movement to the torso in walk motion ect.)

I would say they maybe could bring them up a few degrees but not straight out (more like how the EBJ maybe)

No. Straight out. They aren't angled in the art. How would you feel if the MCII had its arms drooped?

Do you see how those Gauss rifles are resting at the level of the hip joints? That means you now have to bring your crotch over the hill to fire safely, slowing down your poke and getting you shot more. The artwork promised mounts level with the cockpit. Still not as great as something like a KDK-3, but better than they are now.

Look closely. That's something like a 20-30 degree droop compared to what the concept art was.

At least the ST energy mounts are still cockpit level. Ill probably wind up mouting some Heavy PPCs there and wind up replacing the gauss with LB-X 10s for close range combat.

Arms so wide is bad for ballistic convergence, ST so high and far to the side is bad for any engine. You will be dead or neutered many times with a fresh CT.

Quick question for those who have been here longer than me,
Has PGI ever changed arm angles or another aspect of a mech like this in the past?
