Not to mention that the one weapon that the Atlas can boat, SRMs, just got nerfed with that Artemis system nerf, lol.

"Here Atlas, have so mobility! Oh, but wait, we're yanking your missile systems..."

Not like IS players used Artemis in the first place, but hey I dropped SRM6s for MRMs 10 the day they were added into the game.

I would not be surprised at all if the currently slated micro/small/medium laser nerfs remain untouched, and the large lasers get nerfed to be even slower than the newly nerfed mediums (which are horrendously slow, especially the 5 second Clan ERML).

5-6 second cooldowns on the IS LL. I'm calling it now.

(nods) That is what I mean. If the overall cooldown timers are being increased for the energy weapons but they are doing it in sets, then this first run would fit. And I do wonder if we will see similar setup in for MW5... As for the Grasshopper, it is one of only a few IS mechs that many equip 5 ERLL/LL and it has the speed/jump to make it semieffective. Not saying I agree with it but I would say not enough have been included in the notes, or even a dev blog, townhall, etc to provide more details.

For myself, that is about the only way those adjustments makes any sort of sense.

I think that hitting the same component thing was more directed at SRM grouping, with that 5% boost since the skill tree making some kind of noticeable difference, as yeah, LRMs and hitting the same component have never really been an issue, I think they just got adversely effected in the process.

Exactly my point. Rather than sticking a finger in the eyes of the other missile systems, just nudge SRM spread up if you're looking at too many missiles in the same spot.

Of course, you'll never really do in people splatting at 30m, but it'll mean getting in close is required.

Next thing you know, they will try to bring TT turns into play and make everything a 10s cooldown. You'll only be able to fire 1 group every 10 secs, but of course we will keep the 8 and soon to be 12 MG lights at their standard fire rate.

Everyone was complaining about laser vomit. Now lasers got nerfed and they buffed ballistic velocity to make them easier to use. Though the Artemis thing is really out of left field.

Also Jun can you be more melodramatic?

Well, I made the silly mistake of buying a Fury. My first mech purchase for real money.

First, the LMGs were nerfed before I even got a chance to play the thing.

Now, the 2 puny MLs it can squeeze into its CT have been nerfed hard too.

And this is on a chassis which is already weak and has awful hitboxes. Nerf after nerf, and a pathetic little mobility buff to compensate.

Never, ever again PGI. Not spending another buck on this game.

Well, from all the shiny new Tech the IS got i only use the LFE that is still vastly inferior to the CXL.
Oh yeah, i use a MRM bcs i lack Missile Hardpoints but it is a very weak Weapon - lets see how the desync from the FPS makes it feel post Patch.
Switched my ERML out and put LL + MPL on and do even better Laserdamage but my Alpha is laughable compared to the average Alpha in this game - maybe 50% of it.

That said, we dont know the exact amount its gonna be, if its something like 5% more accel, who cares, if its 50% boost, then it could be huge.

We know EXACTLY how much it is going to be.. check the quirk change PDFs.

The IS MedLas nerf is going to make it awkward trying to pair it with SRM6's... the cooldowns no longer align. Either you wait until the MedLas is off cooldown, losing out on DPS from your SRM6's, or you shoot the SRM6's by themselves, and then follow-up with the MedLas, forcing you to expose your frontal torso profile longer and/or more often in order to deal damage.

damn, there is so much truth in the OP post, that its just sad.

The common sense we are talking about is so low level that even a toddler could understand. I doubt that PGI as a game designer has any problem understanding the common sense here.

That leaves us with two possible options:
1- PGI does not give a flying F* about what they change or the competence of guys in charge of balance with their out of whack data

2- There is a personal agenda, possibly:
- pursuing a certain style of gameplay (and failing at every turn)
- having revenge on the community for god knows what reasons
- trying to run down the company by drawing more (paying) players away.

oh i doubt its anything insidious like that, probably just really narrow interpretation of spreadsheet datasets without a holistic understanding of the game and play styles.

Uh, yeah we do.

From the patchnotes:

IS Quirk PDF:
http://static.mwomer...010-17-2017.pdf

Clan Quirk PDF:
http://static.mwomer...010-17-2017.pdf

TLDR:
Almost all 100T mechs are going from avg 6.19 to avg 8.5. A 37% improvement. Should take 1.5 to 2 seconds less to reach top speed.

Exceptions:
KDK-3, is not buffed (KDK-SB is)
Other KDK non-hero (8.5 -> 9.645)

AS7-BH (10.79 -> 13.11)
AS7-K (8.5 -> 10.79)

Maybe PGI are pushing us to abandon MWO to ensure we pre-order MW5 in December?

Well if so, they pushed so hard I abandoned MWO, MW5 and anything else PGI touches in the future. Good job PGI! Posted Image

Since PGI doesnt read their own forums i think they still have absolutely no idea what their customerbase's reaction to the patch notes are.

I think the only way they will figure it out is if enough of Russ's inner circle spams his twitter (probably not going to happen, they don't want to risk the special relationship) or if people start mass cancelling pre-orders and listing the patch notes as the cause.

Instead they are cancelling pre-orders because they want their Night Star's arms to be straight instead of slightly angled down.

Kind of pathetic, really. #AestheticsBeDamned #HardpointViagra
