Is There A Hit Reg Problem Or A Cap Of Dps You Can Do?

This last week I've been hiting targets with Alpha Strikes ranging from LBX20+SRM6A or 6-8x Lasers and the damage barely shows up. Some occasions the target has a open core (more red and would be Royalty!) , I do a AS on it and nothing. Targets pull out.
Something can't be right.

Hard to tell without video. Sometimes there lag. Sometimes you're not hitting how you remember or think you did. Sometimes hit reg farts out.

There is no damage cap, though.

This is a problem MWO had for manny years now. It always comes and goes. Some times its spot on sometimes the things you describe happen.

Last night I had multiple matches in which targets would more or less stand still and facetank alphas repeatedly to little effect. They always broke LOS before the paper doll would show up though, so i couldnt record any conclusive videos. But its pretty weird when a grasshopper stands there, tanks one alpha from my night gyr, overheats because he was firing 4x ER LL with ghost heat, tanks another alpha, and he can get up and walk away. Didnt even get a component destruction.

Today was mostly OK, but when NA prime time rolled around I started seeing more and more hit reg issues (maybe servers were getting overloaded?). Like this one :

24 SRMs fired at a Medusa, i watched them fly into him, but there were no explosions and they simply vanished.

So my direct fire Alpha is 57 (3xMPL 1xLL 1xMRM30) and i cant even make the rear armor of anything disappear - thats how good hitreg is.

There is a damage cap that way that you miss more hits the more hits simultaneously or in a very short ttimeframe be apllied to the target as it seem not being able to process all these hits for some reason.
(mainly this affects projectile and Missile weapons - Laserbeams do probably jitter very much in some cases and make no daamge like in cases when you track a very fast moving target that probably also is not there were you see it for hitbox desync - happens when moving fast and/or steep slopes and/or jumpjet).

Also the Servers have a prettty low tick rate around 30 afair.

PS: A reason why Dual Gauss is that good it is only 2 projectiles at a Speed it wont miss a Frame...

I was in that match yesterday night and saw what happened.. yeah, full alpha to cherry-red CT on a grasshopper, and nothing happened.. dude walked away.. Hitreg non-existent..

This happens to me alot too.. especially against lights like the Locust or Urbanmech..

Hitreg is sooo bad in this game.. it's not even funny..

Surprisingly, I've NEVER saw it happen to others when shooting at me..

Record these, nowadays hit reg is pretty decent IF your ping isn't huge and its stable. Usually not hitregging against locust or urbie is actually a miss or spread damage, these mechs are small, holding ~1 second laser beam on 1 component (if they move) isn't that easy. Also urbie has shitloads of extra armor (more armor than quirkless 45 ton mech) due quirks and can really tank a lot of damage.

All your missiles went between his legs. Pretty easy to see if you go frame by frame.

Edit: I've recently been playing on wifi instead of my cable and been noticing a lot of my games don't really like wifi. WoWP, WoT and MWO all aren't performing as well as I'm used to on network cable.

If you are playing on wifi, I would recommend you switch over to a cable to your router, or get a higher quality wifi adapter/card. I know the one I have is garbage quality. Don't blame the game for something that's wrong on your end.
