They got some movement speed increases. The K gets a missile cool down. About time those walking cts get any kind of buff. Ravens got a buff to sensor range. I might have to re spec into sensor tree with one.

Haven't played them yet so if it increases their combat ability has yet to bee seen.

makes no difference they need armor/structure. The hit boxes are bad and the CT can be hit from either side for a follow up shot to kill it. You can't torso twist away fast enough to hide the ct and if you do you lose a arm. The mech is garbage and should be avoided like the oversized plague it is.

No weapons buff for the Jenner JR7-D though. As a founder, I would have appreciated a big, juicy buff on the D.

At the same time the JR7-F suffered nerfs to every kind of small lasers which it usually runs I think.

Well, since I ran my Jenners with the newly nerfed Medium lasers, I'll curb my excitement.

Also, like Skinless said, armor and structure or GTFO. (I'll at least try the new agility quirks though).

Pointless.

They're already mobile it's the terrible hit boxes that causes the issues with them, which won't be solved without armour quirks.

This is unlikely to happen because it's further proof the skill tree didn't solve the issues with under performing mechs

In addition to my Jenners that i've had since the beginning (D and F), my 3 Oxides got a buff. Since they never ran Artemis in the first place, it's not really affected.

In case anyone is wondering, "why do you even have 3 Oxides???"

One has my copy/paste skill tree loadout with zero in survival (not needed at all on any mech, only useful with those that have armor quirks already)
My second one takes as much survival as possible with zero in firepower (i guess make it a bit more tanky?)
And my third is unskilled, not sure what to do with this one yet. All painted differently so you'll just have to guess which one i'm running!

I don't think the extra mobility is pointless- they do need it. But they suffer more from just being big with bad hitboxes. A size reduction would help a lot and wouldn't require such high levels of quirks. But I guess having to use lots of quirks is better than fudging the scaling a bit for the sake of gameplay.

They still suffer a net nerf because of the laser changes, along with most other lights.

>wolfhound/assassin have the best hitboxes in the game
>they get armor quirks

>jenner has bad hitboxes
>they get a mobility buff

>jenner IIC has the same bad hitboxes
>they get nothing

>cougar is larger than a urbie and slower at 81 kph
>it gets minor structure quirks

Classic PGI logic really.

Jenner IIC also got a mobility buff. It's right there in the patch notes.

Jun is such a Clan apologist, he doesn't even bother to read any positive Clan changes before posting. :D

mwo still crashing with its unknown error bs even after fresh installs for me. Jenners are still **** walking and running cts. I doubt even a 200% armor and structure increase would see them used more often. Just like the rest of the is light mechs they are outclassed in every way by one clan light soon to be two. Steam has some games on sale that will run on my pc so they get the money.

The size rescale destroyed this mech.

taking away actual quirks have also stabled more than half the mech variants in the game.

Ofc the Skilltree does not solve the Problem of underperforming Mechs - its the oposite.
Underperforming Mechs need to put Skill Points in their weak spots which - bcs Skilltree is mostly a percentage based increase - will give them a low return for their Investment.
Overperforming Mechs instead can put Skill Points in their already good strengths and get even a better return and the Gap widens instead of closing!

It is all the "increased return mechanic" PGI does for allmost all things...

Frankly, i couldn't have just one pretty C-Bill bonus Jenner. 2 of which were bought during a 50% off sale back when the Oxide and Black Widow were the thing to bring before the nerfs and before the Jenner IIC appeared, the first one was on release (2013?). I also bought 2 Black Widows from that sale and i still frequent all 3 of those with their different builds.
