Hit Reg Is Problematic

I solo killed that mech, and somehow did 0 Dmg. That's flipping amazing.
Lagg for 20 seconds straight or mini dc is also a problem.
This also explains why my PSR never moves.
I can regularly do 500-1600 dmg with this build, get 1-6 kills, and my rank never moves.
This game is broken man.

On a sidenote, I threw out some red smoke in a game the other night just to have two friendlies run and stand right in the smoke (As custom dictate) still ended the game with 0 team damage. Just shows that bad hitreg is not always a bad thing!

I'm pretty sure Arty/Airstrike damage is not being recorded to the person dropping them since the patch, another bug for PGI to sort out. You still did team damage, it's just not attributed to you.

So what you are saying is that I blew up two teammats that were being incredibly stupid and I was not punished for it? SWEET!

Really? Very interesting indeed if that's the case. I thought something was off after the patch, but couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Or maybe i'm just suffering confirmation bias.

Why, when it is a general problem and not something that occurs since the last patch?
I pump hundreds of damage into lights without even breaking their chest armor.
One could say it's the lag in those cases, blabla.
But the other day, I spectated one:
- Dual AC20 ultra.
- Aimed a light that was stationary for several seconds.
- He pumped 4x20 damage into the center a motionless light torso.
- Not a scratch.
Something is not working right.

In terms that the hits are registered, but the damage is not being attributed to the person that delivered it. Part of hit registration, but not hit registration as we normally think of it.
What we normally stop at with hit registration is you fire a PPC, it hits the enemy at 200 meters and does...zero damage to the enemy.
Here they hit, do damage, but it fails at the attributing damage scores to the player that delivered it.

As you say, it's not what we typically consider a hit reg problem. I'd call this a reporting issue, since the hits are being registered in game, just not properly.
I'm also curious as to whether this problem persists into the end match results. I've seen weird things in the 'Immediate Report' as well, but they've always been 'corrected' on the post match page.

Cause putting in GD is like putting it into a trash bin, left to be forgotten.
A lot of people seem to live and read in that trash bin .
Even PGI.
It's a general problem to be made visible and disussed generally. Shouldn't it go into general discussion?
I'm confused

When I died the game said I did 168 damage........How is a Raven alive after 168 damage?

Ravens have more than 168 durability and SRMs spread like peanut butter.

This depends on where you hit, how they spread, etc...
But without even getting into quirks or which variant as that makes a huge difference... at the most basic you're looking at 238 armor and approximately 125 structure for a combined health of 363, no quirks or skill tree. Now it only takes 33 to 38 to make a kill if you have a super precise shot that can do it. But with SRMs you're basically throwing dirt in the wind in terms of spread. LBX spreads less.
No seriously, watch it spread in this video (the one shot gun of the two guns I'm using).
