Idk if you are in a decent sized unit. But being in a unit with enough players to play together does help the longevity of the game. Just saying if bored.

Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather wait to see how the HG case unravels before I start playing again. I'll reinstall if PGI does something out of the blue that captivates my interests.

How can we persuade PGI to do that?

Every mech should get retrofits for the new tech (the first to get them were the latest heros) . Suggest talking to a few of the artists there and see if they can touch them up. Like for me touch up the Timberwolf secondary missile boxes.

Clan 20-tonner: Fire Moth, duh. Too fast? Negative speed quirk. Done.
Clan 25-tonner: My preference is the Fire Falcon, but the Locust IIC would be fine too.
Clan 55-tonner: My preference is the Black Lanner, but the Vapor Eagle would be fine too.
Clan 60-tonner: Not a lot of good options here. Glass Spider? PGI would have to invent a lot of variants.
Clan 80-tonner: Warhammer IIC is the most obvious, though its variants lack diversity, and the only ones with ballistic hardpoints use HAGs. I would love the Naga, but obviously that would not happen without Arrow IVs, which does not happen without crit-splitting.
Clan 95-tonner: Turkina I guess. Not a lot of mechs in this weight slot. It does not add much over the existing 100-tonners, so it would be easy to give this one up for something more iconic in an adjacent bracket.
IS 20-tonner: Wasp/Stinger.
IS 25-tonner: Mongoose?

Despite its opposition, I would like to see this thing added with agility akin to the Nightstar. Its CJF's only produced assault, and it would have made sense to add it earlier, but I would still like to see it in game.

The only other alternatives for the 60 ton slot would be the Thresher and the Predator. The Predator would need a drastic change in cockpit location, but would be interesting to see the least. Thresher is somewhat in the same boat. They are at least both clan battlemechs but I'm not really sure if they would add anything exciting to the game.
I'd really wish people would stop focusing on weight classes that they 'feel' like that needs to be added to the game. Especially when those weight classes with those newly added mechs would be sub-par at best.

Some of us would like a 25 ton 'mech that isn't the Mist Lynx. That doesn't seem too unreasonable a request to me.

Of course this sentiment has NOTHING to do with the fact that the Clans already have 3 65 tons and you happen to want another 65 ton mech, right?

How's it fare without the G arms?
So? That is often times how top tier mechs work. They are top tier with one loadout.
Granted, the Locust IIC would be a GREAT addition

I'm not against more 25 tonners, but you were making it sound like the Mist Lynx was garbage, is all.

I guess my point is that it was once a weight class with exactly 0 viable options, and now has precisely 1 viable option.
In other words, it's still an extremely limited weight class, and requesting more variety in it isn't an entirely unreasonable position.

K. Same could be said about the Clan 95 ton weight class. Bring on the Turturkeykina!

With engine desync there are certainly ways to distinguish it, and I am not against its inclusion. I was simply thinking in terms of prioritization since "add this because it is another 95-tonner" only goes so far. The Turkina contrasts nicely with the Executioner within its own weight bracket, but it ends up looking a whole lot like a Dire Wolf using an S pod when compared to adjacent slots. That means total variety increase would be better served by a new mech in another class, and versus something like the Blood Asp, I think we know which machine would win the popularity contest.

The Turkina could do the Deathstrike loadout going ~5-6 kph slower with 1 or 2 less DHS and more hops. Not quite as good, but not a bad mech either.
