Clan 60-tonner: Not a lot of good options here. Glass Spider? PGI would have to invent a lot of variants.

The only other alternatives for the 60 ton slot would be the Thresher and the Predator. The Predator would need a drastic change in cockpit location, but would be interesting to see the least. Thresher is somewhat in the same boat. They are at least both clan battlemechs but I'm not really sure if they would add anything exciting to the game.

What, no love for the Hellfire?

BattleMech, MASC capable, standard variant has 7E 3M.

IMO from my perspective from a Clansmen we have alot of bases covered now by the recent releases with only 4 spots really needing to be addressed for Clans. That being a second 55t, 60t, 80t, & 95t options added to the game, and hopefully being a different play style to the current ones.

If I narrowed it down to just those...

55 tonner - Rabid Coyote / Vapor Eagle (Both BattleMechs, both look great, one Energy & Missiles with ECM, the other all weapon types with JJs)
60 tonner - Hellfire / Glass Spider (Both BattleMechs, one Energy & Missiles with MASC, the other Ballistics & Energy)
80 tonner - Canis (BattleMech, Ballistics & Energy, high torso mounts)
95 tonner - Turkina (Meh... would rather get the Hellstar for Energy with ECM or or Cygnus for Ballistics & Energy. Alas, timeline...)

I am surprised no one has brought up the Stooping Hawk (http://www.sarna.net...i/Stooping_Hawk) yet. I see this mech has the potential to add something new, It is the only clan medium 55 ton omnimech to mount a standard engine. It could be a clan zombie-omnimech or "Zomnimech" if you will.

At this point, the only major novelty would be IS Omnis, and I think we should get them. PGI must chose wisely, though, since there are some really bad IS Omnis.

But there are also some smaller novelties I would like to see. We lack a 70t IS cavalry Mech for example, i.e. one with a 350 stock engine rating; every single 70t IS Mech comes with a 280 (or less). Excalibur, Hercules or Daikyu would close that gap.

Of course, many may not care for this niche and thus want other niches, or simply want their favourite Mechs in game regardless of the niche or novelty value. ...which is fine, of course, I am no different in that regard.

Holy mother of Jesus those hit boxes though. That's going to need some serious armor quirks because I don't think torso twisting or MASC is going to save this thing. I sense Linebacker 2.0 syndrome.

The Hellfire would actually have great hitboxes......if we had MW4 special sections. It was in a certain MW4 mod and combined with buffs that made STD engines relevant, it was one of the most notoriously tough heavies in that mod.

The problem is MW:O isn't MW:4 and never will be. So I'm not so sure how well this mech would translate into MW:O territory. The same problem goes for IS omnimechs being introduced and how some people want interchangeable engines for them. If PGI does break the rules that far, then I hope my suggestion that those interchangeable engines do get permanently hard locked with all of it's equipment entirely.

I mean all it would take is for them to add special sections and it would be tougher than it ever was in MW4 (cuz MWO damage transfer makes everything more tanky comparatively). Not that it will ever happen but hey, just pointing out not all is horrible about its hitboxes despite it basically being a walking brick.

In all honesty, its looks quite elongated more than just being bulky, with that bulk at the shoulder areas actually being the missile racks... so more like a walking fighter jet.

I am far from free to play, but also not a big mech pack buyer. But I would really like to get either the Sting, Wasp, or Valkyrie mech packs when or if they are available.

I quite like seeing the Clans take on IS mechs so a Locust IIC , Clan Shadowhawk or other IS derived mechs would be my pick.

Honestly I am more willing to buy mechs that offer something a little unique or different but I dont know lore too well to say what they might be.

I don't, because if the IS version is considered "pretty good" and then a Clan version comes out, the IS version gets kicked to the curb. Plus, it means all the IS icons get Clan copies, sapping the individuality out of the game. Boring.

The Thunder would fill the 70t cavalry mech quite nicely.

Multiple ecm variants, varied loadouts, good hardpoints. Only downside is it'd need to have some variants modified and some added.

Huh, I never noticed just how popular the 280 rated engine was in the 70 ton category.

Of those 4, I'd take the Daikyu for the look and guaranteed dual Ballistic options.

There's also the extinct/obsolete Hector, melee focused Hachiwara & No-Dachi, or Barghest & White Flame if we ever get quads. Out of timeline we have the all energy, ECM capable Prefect or kind-of-MixTech-but-not-really Mangonel.

IS Omnis.

More polish on animations. Immersion PGI, Immersion. I know its about making the models not collapsing in on themself but a slower steadier, more impactful stride of the bigger mechs would be welcome. yeah pointing to the Mad Cat mk II and Nightstar. Hard to balance function and form without either stepping on metaheads and loremasters toes. Nightstars arms are a good example. In that example its raised arms were spot on respecting the old and new concept arts AND making the meta/ comp players happy(ier)

More IS lights that can boat ballistic to counter the clans 6- 12 mg madness.
Also:
Flea, Raptor, Mad Dog Mk II omni with Chin turrets on all CT omnipods for each stock config/ variant, Viking, Thug, Conjurer ( Wolverine C/II) & Hellhound, Fire Moth, Fafnir, Argus
