I was considering buying one since if you mix the omni pods gives you some interesting builds for SRMS.

Is it a good SRM boat?
What about PPC/Dakka?

Completely SRMs - kinda underwhelming, better off with a Stormcrow or something for that.

SRMs + SPL - Yes good at that.

PPC/Dakka - Not really enough tonnage for something worthwhile.

No, like the Executioner it got gimped because clans aren't allowed build diversity and somehow the few different hard points equated to Pay to win in the eyes of the forum warriors.

It's only Pay to Win if the objectively most powerful Omnipods (they aren't just "different" in some cases) are pay-only. All PGI has to do to avoid that is release C-Bill equivalents, which they did actually do with several of the recent Omni heroes.

The Gargoyle with energy shoulders uplifted the Gargoyle.

The Kin Wolf didn't get gimped, they didn't change its hardpoints they just decided to release that other C-bill variant with 4 high mounted energy hardpoints in the shoulders.

Nice try for sympathy though.

Aww.

I was hoping to buy it and finally have a clan version of the splat-clops with a cbill bonus.
Thats kinda disappointing.

What about running 4 PPCS?

Gargoyle can do brawling. it suffers from mainly it's hard points being in the arm. I myself wanted the Hero Mr Gargles.

Why don't you want it now? Its the same as it was when it was first announced.

I fail to see how 6 SRM6a would be BAD on it...

I have the Prime (S) and kinda had a brain fart and mistook it for the Executioner hero.

Also not a real fan on Assaults. (still need to build one of my Gargoyles)

Stormcrow has been the go to SRM brawler...some reason, could never get into stormcrows.

Aside from that i think it's mainly placements of the hardpoints and pod space.

Ohh, No, I meant about the mech being underwhelming with the 6 SRM+A.

I have a Stormcrow. I wish I had bought it first instead of the Nova, which I kinda regret still.
The Stormcrow is like my second or third favorite clan mech because its super fast, has a ton of armor, and can put down the hurt and get away. Its a really mission flexable mech. If it had JJ's, it would literally be the perfect light mech hunter. Linebacker is basically a really fat Stormcrow, with alot more armor, but same issues. So if we are getting a jumping linebacker, just imagine how much more awesome a jumpy stormcrow would be!

Because a Huntsman can do the same build, but with more heatsinks. Nevermind the Mad Dog.

Mr Gargles can brawl - mobility and its humanoid form plus armor quirks allow it to tank
the Huntsman as mentioned has same mobility and speed but less armor (but JJs)
