FW looks like for the next two weeks to be something fun for a change. Honestly I am looking forward to a little internal conflict (Although I really wanted to beat up on some Wolfs, but Jade Falcon works as well).

Be interesting to see what numbers come up! Also I really hope it brings out even the salty crowd to give some FW a try with out the worry of the Clam overlords. The fights should be pretty well rounded fr the most part and the match ups look good (besides maybe Wolf V Steel Vipers and Diamond Shark).

Idk what fights you guys looking forward too? Will some of your typical drop decks change when facing the same tech?

We can trade you can take on some Sharks and Vipers while we Wolves take on the Falcons. Do not why we fighting our allies but hey be nice warm to pass the time.

As a side note I really want to join up on the Davion vs Stiener fight... really bad.

Because the Clans tend to actively fight eachother in lore. For resources, position, "Your iron womb so fat" jokes.

FW is unplayable unless you are in a group.

I generally do reasonably well dropping solo.

I just hope splitting the queues so many ways doesn't make it impossible to find a drop outside of North America's prime time.

Glad PGI is trying this event to change up the FW status quo a bit.

It's still sad that they have to run events to get more people to play FW though, instead of making FW awesome in and of itself so events aren't damn near required to un-ghost town the game mode.

Looking forward to it as well.

Couple things with your OP though:

This event isn’t going to give anyone a taste of real FW “conflict”. In order to do the same tech fights of this event they are essentially shutting down the normal 1 bucket version of FW and allowing us to play in this event specific mode. Once the event is over then we go back to what FW really is. If folks come in and enjoy these same tech base conflicts and think “wow, this is what I have been missing? I think I will give FW a real chance since this has been so fun!” they will be just as disappointed as the salty folks when FW goes back to normal and the...as you put it...Clam overlords return to their normal dominance.

This event doesn’t reflect the reality of FW, and as such will not be an advertisement for FW nor an attractant for folks to give it a try, rather it is merely a holiday respite from normal FW. One that I at least hope to try and enjoy while it lasts.

That is what I mean, it just looks like something fun in the mean time, might be a better way to look at internal balance for each Faction as well.

Looking forward to fight against my former unit mates of MGA, and MRR. Marik has the most chill units.

Because there is no one else maybe? IS tired of fighting Clans? Dwindling population even with events. Impossible goals for average people who will not try or waste their time (which is what I am hearing from people I play with.....we're all potatoes...) I'm not taking it seriously because I can't see obtaining the grand prize so what's the point???
Who knows?

In FW, I gave up on groups as I am a Freelancer and No, I'm not gunna join a group for several reasons. Namely most do NOT want to have someone who does NOT have VOIP, or sounds or voice on. I never have and never will have them on for personal reasons. I DO still on occasion do Scouting for Clans as I find that fun to do. :)

Maybe if I somehow manage to play out all of the QP rewards. But that'll take a miracle. Not playing that much as it is even with the event. Why would I want to go get stuck in longer queues and matches with the possibility of getting stomped by premades?

sorry but no... FW is trash, takes too long, and isn't fun.

at the same time.....if they have to try and get people into the game mode then they need to do more than just have an event to get players to play it.

its like them putting up a going out of business sign and then trying to entice people with more savings if they sign up for a paid membership.

Uh, for the Halloween event it's IS vs IS and Clan vs Clan. Perhaps you should read it before commenting?
