Simply a thought here...Solaris should have rearm and refit or something to dictate mechs brought. Now MW4's Solaris as great fun but one line from good ole Mr.Fisher was the comment of Clan tech and mechs although strong in the arena, cost the operators an arm and a leg to maintain. Specially if taken severe damage. There should be a trade off here imo for Solaris junkies to bring Clan mechs it should come at a cost of less C-bills earned or something (longer time outs if they add a repair timer for mechs to be brought in ect).

Also unless they add the one Clan Stable (ran by a Diamond Shark of course, seriously look this up lol) true Clan warriors really would be odd to be found in Solaris, which partly wish they had an alternative for Clans to have their trial's ect just a thought for us Clansmen.

what would the point be for that repair and rearm? how would it alter the goal of solaris?

I fail to see how such a system would help in a duel like setup to balance things out.

Say no to gimmicky 'mechanics' that show up in only one mode of the game for no particular reason.

Rearm and refit does nothing for game balance. Players will still bring the best they can, and the ones who lose too much cbills doing so will cry while the ones who pay for premium and other stuff to compensate R&R will not be hindered. So R&R can likely lead to P2W unless mechs are tiered like tanks in WoT.

I think that R&R is great for immersion but much better suited for single-player games like MW5 or maybe cooperative multiplayer which do not have above issues. In competitive multiplayer however R&R is not something you should slap on an existing game without a very good design to prevent negative effects.

Also core players don't like to be denied of playing their favorite toys, so even a time-out instead of cbill-cost can be very dangerous. You could possibly only get away with such time based restrictions if MWO were a shallow mobile or browser game...

I think Battle Value should be tried for balancing factor.

I don't think rearm and repair is really going to be the answer but everyone clamoring for Solaris does realize that if something is not done there is going to be one 'mech and loadout that rises above the rest as the most meta thing for a 1v1 and then it's either bring that 'mech or get ground into paste, right?

Maybe the biggest thing needed is something to spend all the creds on. MC to. Solaris or not.

Already made a topic about the music. :)

I could go on about other features this game needs but I wont. :)
