If you refuse to adapt to the situation, you have only yourself to blame for what becomes of you. I'd suggest that instead of trying to stick a square peg into a round hole, you learn woodcrafting so you can create a round peg and discover new alternatives while more easily pegging holes. In other words... it may not be that the game and game mode are broken, but that there is a fundamental part of your thought process off the battlefield that could use some work.
Given your profession, adapting to an ever-changing "market" should be second nature to you, so I'm positive you can do it.
You are correct and it's actually, professions; since I'm twice retired and working on #3....
The reason I am frustrated is in that events are getting to the point that you are "compelled" to buy new mechs...
New players that have say, one mech in each class and have mastered them, are always at a disadvantage because they only own less than a dozen mechs.... Now, established players as above infer that the problem is the pilot and
sometimes it is..... But, taking a trial mech into Scouting is counter-intuitive and I have tried the Hunchback....yuk. I don't want to buy yet another mech to participate in yet another event designed to make many players buy new mechs..... So, new players are getting frustrated by the "cycle" events are created for: to cause players to consider buying a mech that fits the event....
Thanks for the advice. My concern and frustrations are for the new pilots that "just can't seem to get a break" in the cycle and, we lose them.... The two above I mentioned I haven't be able to contact yet.....hopefully, they will calm down.
By the way, as an aside, I asked my "team" to drop in Scouting with me. They did and it took 1/20th the time to finish the scouting event... And, I'm not sure I feel any better asking the "A-team" to help out; but, was kinda of nice to produce several 500+ dmg games......kinda of felt like "farming" at times though?
