With only 7 days left? It's pretty rough.

For example IF you set aside an entire weekend which is HUGE commitement to do just for mwo, even then, THATS almost impossible. Maybe if you play for 48 hours straight but it shouldnt be torture.
Something like this needs to be at least a month long.

PGI will either extend the deadline, or reduce the requirement. Don't ye worry.
*Edit* PGI did extend the deadline to Nov 10th 4:00:00 PM (PST).

I don't mind if they have events requiring lots of things to be completed... my choice if i play or not. but if they aren't fun then they become more annoying than encouraging participation.
(Wait town not fun, 2000 damage with cac20 etc wasn't fun, 80? scout flag things wasn't fun - way back, specific game mode wins in CW not fun....)
Wish that they could have made a two bucket system work; is vs is and clan vs clan... and also had sales on faction specific colours/decals/warhorns/totem mechs. Maybe have bonus or rewards for dropping in faction specific totem mechs and mechs strongly associated to a specific faction.
Ps pgi do plenty of fun events too

No.
Doable for me?
No. I just don’t have the time or frankly the will to play more than 5, maybe 10 matches an evening.
But hey, so what? Its free stuff, no point in getting bent over not getting the grand prize. I’m just glad PGI still bothers with these sorts of events and giveaways.

It's an incentive to play, to be active, to show online presence, to be there for others to have someone to play with.
You have zero obligation to be online, of course.
But you also have zero claim to the incentives if you don't provide the online presence that they are intended to reward.
If you don't have the time, don't stress yourself out. Just skip it.
If you want to have them, then show the online presence they require.
The choice is completely up to you. No pressure.

Had two I missed yesterday. Both my fault I destroyed the enemy base and won the match. GG Incursion mode almost no freaking points for base destruction.

Someone earlier said "it's an incentive to play, be active and to show on-line presence"... I've become cyncial over the past few months and playing for "free stuff" is one thing. Being a target for everybody else, a "seal" to club, match after match is something else... PGI made this 150 games to increase their sales opportunities and only their sales. Early adopter and all of the other sales stuff you are constantly exposed to playing for "free stuff."
This has nothing to do with making game quality better or building cohesion in the player base........PGI is just hoping for an additional 10% in sales.

Don't think of it as having to do all 150, rather it's up of 150 of extra rewards. Play however much you want to.

That assumes that this event is done in good faith to reward players for playing the game. It is not.

This is the truth of it. Tight timing requirements for non-poopsockers with no way for good performance to close the gap reveals that the objective is to push sales. Very basic psychology; players don't want to leave free 'mechs on the table so they buy packs out of desperation to hit the target goal.

Just boat Streaks with HBK-IIC-B, or Huntsman. Easy 100 score every match.

Join the IS side for instant Invasion drops. Clan side has too many players queued in during prime time. If you don't make it easier for yourself, you cannot complain about lack of progress.

The game is about fighting mechs. Dedicated scouting has never been a thing, nor will it ever be because a mech that is slightly worse at scouting but can fight is always going to be better than a pure scouting mech.
While the majority of scouting mechs are 50-55 ton brawling mediums you aren't limited to this. When I solo scout I run a Cicada/Viper with ERML. It has the speed to outrun the slower brawl mediums and can out range them. With a bit of piloting skill you can kite most mechs and pull games back even if your team loses the brawl. You can do similar things with fast lights, though they tend to be a bit squishier.
As for brawling, range is good against slow targets because you have lots of time to shoot them as they approach. Anytime you have a mode comprised primarily (or entirely) of fast mechs you are going to get a brawl situation because it isn't possible to put out enough damage with ranged weapons while the other side is closing to make up for the DPS difference at close range.
Things like LRMs and ERLLs will never be good in scouting because of the speed and low number of the mechs. There really isn't aren't brawling pilots, support pilots, ranged pilots, etc. It just pilots who can adapt to their circumstances and those who can't or won't. If you aren't willing to adapt your play style of course you are going to lose a lot. It's like ignoring the circle in domination. If you spend some time learning how to brawl you'll be a better pilot overall. I primarily like fast light/mediums (so scouting is like candy for me), but I also pilot assaults and heavies because it helps me to better understand their vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
There are a variety of mech options and roles available for scouting that are reasonably viable with varying amounts of skill required. If you want pure easy mode for completing the event (and don't care about winning) you can just boat streaks on something like a Huntsman. It's not really good, but it pretty much guarantees enough damage to get 100 match score if you stay with the group. If you are running things with "scouting" builds that minimize weaponry then of course you are going to have a bad time. You're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. If you aren't willing to adapt how you play you really have only yourself to blame.
There is no matchmaker in FP so it's gloves off. You aren't going to be coddled if you refuse to adapt and bring the best options available to you.
