That and calling for 'balance' in 12man CW based on an Event in 4man scouting after mercs went IS.
By that, since IS has not won anything in a long time, IS needs a buff. Or will IS need a buff when mercs go back?
Just goes to show the players assumption that clan must win and if they don't IS needs to be nerf'd, ignoring history.

First phase? IS wins or ties every phase now. For like, the last week?
IS waiting times should be longer now due to the pop disparity actually, since theres way less clanners dropping in FP.

Most of those clan units arent active anymore or only got there due to gen/base rushing since the unit leader board is ranked by planetary wins, not W/L ratio.
And i wouldnt be surprised if the leader board has stopped updating for a while just like the war history log has.
Edit : EU cycle dominated by IS as well. I look at my friend list and there are almost no clanners bothering to drop in FP anymore.

On the other side of the coin, many of the Clan members and pugs were not a aggressive as usual. Saw this from both this IS account and on my alt Clan account. Games that could have been close never materialized due to lack of aggression and at times the lack of communication or the failure to act on it as a whole.
I believe KCom won a conquest match but then lost a number of matches vs 6EVIL w/associates (12man formed prior to drop). Evil were constantly moving, using terrain and range against KCom's,linebacker rush. But then KCom almost always uses that linebacker rush, and while it is great primarily against pug seals to end the game quickly, it is not very challenging for KCom, who then immediately spawn camps because those seals as a whole usually do not move or are too slow to move very far from spawn point, making it easy to shotgun those pugs then straight to their spawn points into the next wave or two. Technically not very challenging but it is effective at ending the game quickly with all 12 blowing through.
As for KCom unit members themselves, they may not have liked the loses but a few it was definitely change of pace and they enjoyed the challenges, win/lose, due to being definitely change of pace after tons and tons of mind-numbing spawn camping pugs that ending those games quickly.
But as we saw with the Civil War update, units/effective pugs utilize the tonnage available to them but others do not, or if they do it is ineffective (LRM Atlases/Battlemasters -shudder). And there is likely more non-communicative, non-competitive IS pugs than their Clan version.
I though, do not expect what you are seeing to last for long, considering many are Mercs and they like change, even if it might not be challenging.

apparently neither mechwarrior OR reading comprehension is your strong point....lets use crayons this time....
By going IS we play more units, as there are far more units on the Clan side than on the IS side. It makes for better matches, and more fun. Sure, we run into pug teams....some of them pretty decent overall actually, but about every other match is a decent sized team.
We don't play quite as well as EVIL overall, but we see the same thing...sometimes opposing teams fold after one or two matches, even saying in comms they are going to sit out before a game is over. We queued up 9 times against EVIL, only winning 3, before we switched over, and we liked that challenge. It's not fun getting beat, but it IS fun having a bunch of close matches, all decided by less than 8 mechs each match, win or lose.
MS, EVIL and BCMC are all great units, but they are hardly the only units out there that play well, and by going IS we get more matches, and better matches overall. You still have KCOM, a great team, and a number of really other good units. All we heard when we were clan was "waa waa waa, clans OP and all mercs do it load one side".
Make up what's left of your mind.

My plaintive, tearful cries were I think making progress. NIW you guys switched and we are getting fast drops and good matches.
Stuck in Clan robbits for weeks.
Dat merc life. Then again, when you're a merc....
Every employer is one missed payment away from being a target and every target is one good bribe away from being an employer.

Booo...You guys (all these units) need to apologize for all the emotional distress you have done to so many IS and Clan pilots by switching to IS. Some Clanners are finding out they aren't as good at this game as they thought they were. Facing only IS Pug groups was good for the self-esteem you know...shame on you for hurting the self-esteem of some Clanners. At the same time, you totally messed up the "victimization of the IS" narrative that some IS pilots were clinging to. Showing that the IS can win games (and planets even!) consistently with organization and talent will also hurt the feelings of some IS pilots. As they had been banking on the tech base as being solely responsible for their losing....now they are forced to face that it's also them and how they choose to play.
In a world full of safe-spaces and participation trophies you should have known the damage these truths would do to player's feelings. So, shame on you doing this...shame on you!

Well, the official story states that clans are OP and IS needs moar advantages. That's the dogmatic believe of a lot of players. But after the Kurita vs. Smoke Jaguar event suddenly a bunch of players discovered that meanwhile the IS side has gathered so many advantages that playing for that side is not a challenge at all. So they enjoyed their little secret and were very careful about not winning any battle phases, they might get nerfed if they did. Now something went wrong, and they accidentally won a phase instead of ending it in a tie. But they don't need to be afraid, PGI didn't waste all those months "balancing" the game by giving IS advantages for their low tier players just to take those advantages away because people use those advantages that are not low tier.
Somewhere here in the forum a dude suggested to give IS more and more advantages until significant players change sides, not realizing that he impied that those players changing sides to use advantages would be just a bunch of cowards. But some players seem to enjoy being cowards...
