There's like 1-2 20-tonners missing for each side and then that's about it.
Since payed resources (man hours) can only be spent once, they should invest them into actual new content (idk, AI infantry, tanks, small quick play campaigns defending/attacking an overlord dropship or whatever).
I don't see any point in spending money on reskins.

They make what they can sell. Unless you want them to start charging for maps & game modes, they'll keep releasing new 'mechs.

I've never understood those who play pokemech, but at least more maps would improve the game.

On the other hand
What's wrong with a bit of sun, or nice green? Maps in this game are the worst i've ever seen.

Then I guess you're not PGI's main source of income, so enjoy the free ride.
People like collecting things, from stamps to land.

Yah... I'm not happy about how the new map looks. It's yellow (Mining Collective) and Gray (Everything ******* else) and boring all over.
I'm really hoping the next map is Imperial City, Luthien (Weeaboo Palace). At least we would have a chance at a little bit of red.

Pre-ordering makes things more desirable. Welcome to the joys of being in a species with a 'good enough' brain. Hurray for evolution and the baggage it leaves behind!

That is true, of course. But I could go on for pages how they could earn money with something else than the self-obsoleting strategy of selling more and more reskins. Just some quick ideas: crowdfunded additions that get released to the public for free afterwards, special geometry addons for mechs, maybe even something like a replay function and storing one replay to share with others costs a tiny amount of MC per month.
Or a hundred more things.
It's not like every game out there can only survive by selling more and more avatar reskins.

That is actually a good point.
So as long as some cavemen who are locked in some primitive collector drives subsidize my reasonable way of playing, I shall remain silent.
However, should it turn out that less and less people actually buy the redundant reskins and more and more people leave because of missing content (which both seem to be true), then maybe the caveman marketing strategy turns out to be insufficient, yet.

Got three maps with sun and nice green.
Granted with the resources already made for those maps, they should be able to churn them out faster.
Its not like they are genuinely making maps for MW5 Mercs, they are getting procedural generation.

There's also Crimson Strait if you count "some green."
Oh yeah. Well I wasn't thinking about FW maps as most players don't see them. Hell, I prefer FW but never get to play it.
