I'm sincerely hoping that this thing has some serious structure/armor quirks for the torsos...and maybe legs. They are gigantic. And ECM don't mean squat. If it does have good armor/structure quirks I could see it as a mainstay in FW. Though the 5 missile hardpoints on one arm for the hero is a little silly.

Should be +20 armor on side torsos, otherwise its a waste of $$$ to get this mech.
But on the other hand, having torsos so huge, means nobody will ever score a headshot - they will aim always at torsos

Well they look like high mounts , which is good, but yeah...those torsos look...worrisome.

On the positive side of things: With these sides the mech can potentially tank harder than the old Centurion or the Marauder.
Its like having a cupboard taped to each of your sides. Legging might become a real weakness in a brawl, not so much for long range since hardpoints in general seem to be above waistline (and thats absolutely ok, knuckle dragging hardpoints are worthless).

A distinct look is always nice in a design, even if on the quirkier side of things.

thing a lot of people are forgetting is while it's a barn door from the front, the Thanny's pretty thin from the sides. only place this thing'll really be vulnerable is being shot in the back, because if you're facing it.. well... Thanatos have a lotttt of high-mounted forward-facing firepower.
