This Battlemech is a Missile boat and has so much potential because it has an I.S and Clan Variant, I can already see x2 MRM40 or quad ATM12's both of which are deadly if used correctly.
ATMs are incredibly strong when you have 3 of them and you can score a kill if there's a light standing still at 140-200m and MRMS are just great when you jump and just lop them at your opponent.

Sure there's the Catapult and Linebacker, both of which can be rendered useless if you take off the arms but this one will keep going until you remove both side torsos.

I also think the next mech pack should be the 4 DC Omni's (Owens,Strider,Avatar,Sunder) and the mech pack for clan should be 4 IICs (Urbanmech IIC,ShadowHawk IIC,Rifleman IIC,Warhammer IIC)

This is...interesting. The base 'Mech uses standard structure, armor, engine, and single heat sinks, which are all identical between the Clans and the IS, with only the weapons as a distinguishing feature for which tech base it uses.

The catch is that (as mentioned in the OP) PGI would need to sell two separate versions of it in the store, because for balance reasons you'd have to specify whether it uses the Clan equipment data (cXL engine, cES structure, cFF armor, Clan weapons, etc.) for upgrades or not, and you'd have to specify it at the time of purchase.

But they could use the same in-game model assets for both versions. And it isn't strictly speaking mixtech.

I never thought I'd see someone asking for the Ha Otoko in MW:O. As a proud CDS member, I'll stand by the design, but I think it would fair poorly in this situation. Mixtech is something that I don't expect to happen, plus it doesn't have many variants with pre-jihad tech. Same reason we most likely won't get the Thresher.

I never meant mixtech, I meant that I.S will get an I.S version and there's a chance that PGI will add some laser/ballistic variants like they did to the assassin.

Well it be interesting to see, and possible open some interesting options of mechs.

But it then ask the question what about, other mechs with both Clan and IS variants, for example Marauder, Annihilation and what not how will this be handle? Will this break balance either farther? Who knows, it may not be a big deal, but still something like this must be approach with care.

Change the announcement to the 4 IIC mech pack for the December 2017 mech 'con reveal, and then dedicate the first quarter of 2018 to the IS Omnimech pack and I would say we have a winner for everyone. Also might want to swap out that Owens Omnimech for the Raptor since the Owens would be a dead weight with locked single heat sinks.

Then it's not an owens just a mech that looks like it, all they can do is give it quirks to try to match dhs.

And I believe the piranha have no speed tuning from what I can tell.

I don't see how SHS are essential to the character of the Owens. When people get nostalgic for the robot from MW3, MW4, or even Mechassault they don't see an Owens and think, "Hey, that's the light mech known for using SHS!"

Owens & Strider are both straight-up NOPE for me. Raptor & Men Shen are much better. Avatar is OK, I'd rather have the Black Hawk-KU. Sunder is OK, I'd rather have the Templar.

As for the IICs? Locust IIC is much more popular than the Urbanmech IIC (check the polls), so sub that one.

Honestly though, I doubt we'll be getting any more 4 packs, with the sole exception of an IS OmniMech pack, but even that is unlikely.

House Kurita is the best faction!

the reason i wanted 4 mechs from each side was to make both sides "balanced" in release.
Clans need another 30-45-60-80 tonner and I.S could use the starting Omnimechs and the raptor could fill in the Owen's role with the other 3 DC omnis.

sadly there isn't many Omni's or IICs to make the releases feel complete
then it's the Owen's,Menshen,Templar,Hauptmann
then Locust IIC Griffin IIC Hellhound (Wolverine IIC) Phoenix Hawk IIC (phoenixhawk is 80 tons)

Kuritans are dogs!

There are 3 IS Omnis in timeline for the Light, Heavy & Assault classes, and 5 for Medium. Ranked by my preference;
Raptor, Arctic Fox, Owens
Men Shen, Blackjack-O, Firestarter-O, Battle Cobra, Strider
Black Hawk-KU, Avatar, Perseus
Templar, Sunder, Hauptmann

For IICs, there are 13 (technically 14) in timeline. 4 (5) Light, 5 Medium, 2 Heavy & Assault. Ranked by popularity;
Locust IIC, Urbanmech IIC, Commando IIC, Ostscout IIC, (Wolfhound IIC)
Shadow Hawk IIC, Griffin IIC, Wolverine IIC Conjurer, Clint IIC, Wyvern IIC
Rifleman IIC, Guillotine IIC
Warhammer IIC, Phoenix Hawk IIC

I prefer the aesthetic of the Templar, is all. Mostly due to those pauldrons. Sunder is likely to be the better performer.

PGI did not "tune" anything about the Piranha, they just arbitrarily limited the max engine to keep it from completely ****ting on the Locust.
