MRMs are really bad because it forces that missile pod to appear as soon as you put any single missile, worsening the hitboxes. I highly recommend people to not use missile pod(s) unless you are fully going for missiles. But with two hardpoints, only viable one is MRMs, and it is such terrible weapon for this mech because it forces to facetank enemies.
So I think mini-Orion is probably only viable build, other than other builds involving machineguns.
I disagree. It has jumpjets which can be used to negate hitbox issues, though i domt see it as a massive issue. If someome can shoot, they can shoot. It makes little real difference.
As for builds, it is a strange one.
Havent used it yet, been using some of the others, but i feel like 2 x srm6 and 2 x mpl with 4 mg's, JJ's and as big an engine as will fit, then just brawl it out.

It was fun to drive, don't get me wrong, and that paintjob is all kinds of classy. I'm determined to make it work. I even put one of my bagpipe warhorns in it.
Yeah, though, the GRF definitely feels slower than it is. Maybe because it's so tall? Should have plugged a 300 in it and gone with SRM4s.

I will say this is better than the loyalty wolverine at least.
The ballistics are all on one arm that has only 8 free slots on it so best case is 1 UAC10 + 1 MG....it's not a clan mech ya know

And 2 ML.
1 of 2 games went well, but maybe I was just lucky. Will have to try it more before I change the loadout.
I have something with SRM6 + SNPPC + MGs in mind…
This combination work on an Urbie as well as on a Kingcrab, in a tonnage-adjusted variation, ofc.

Well all I can say is my Thanatos that only goes 70 kph feels like it moves faster than the Griffin. I know its not actually moving faster but I can't shake the perception that it does. Weird though, I have a whole bunch of medium mechs that run around the 82 kph range and it is the only one where I feel like I am moving about 60 kph in.
I have same perception! And I'm running a 300xl in it... not sure why it feels so sluggish
I enjoy using it like a mini Victor... its surprisingly tough even with an XL... put in UAC10, 2SRM4s, and 2ERMLs and a 300xl and have fun!

1. Cut some cardboard into strips.
2. Build a wire frame
3. Hot Glue the cardboard onto the frame until it has the basic shape.
4. Spray Paint it.
Wait...that's not what you meant, was it.
