DV Devnull, I've seen the Oasis in five drops in a row, so I think they did find a way to tweak the chances.

Jay, finally done with the Rubellite missions.

No fan of this map; too cramped, too hot ... like a mix of Terra Therma, HPG Station and Thurmaline Desert.

Nice with all these events coming at a steady pace. Just, I'm a little grumpy over not making the MC challenge in neither factionplay nor quickplay in the kill-for-bill events. I had 9/10 in QP and then I couldn't for the life of me get the last on during three hours worth of forced play. Plenty of kills, many MDD's - but not one single solokill. Argh! I made 7/10 in FP an consider it meh, ok-ish, if not slightly disappointed. But I did favor the QP, growing more and more incredulous at my inability toget that last solokill. Double-argh!

Well, but nice with new events to emerge myself in,trying to put down some distance that failure. Then, in the Thanatos-event, I really think there lack a challenge involving killing Thanatos mechs, but riding whatever variant. Just one challenge like that. And just so people not having a Thanatos mech available wont be left completely out

The Thanatos was just released and players are already benching it for its weak performance. I've waited 5 years for this mech and it's the weakest mech I've ever piloted. I've supported MWO since the beginning, but my wallet is finally closed. The money I would've contributed to new mechs will be better served on a new graphics card.

They feel annoyingly too easy.
I know there are people that "don't" have the time, and other reasons... but... why does it seem like things are always "spoon" fed to us now.
I'm not saying make things too hard, and everything too hard.
Maybe like 1 or 2 things here and there that are actually a "*****" to get.

Tanny is a let down, thought it would have a little back bone. Missions are super easy. Little let down with my purchase, but ill keep at until I mastered them all or the rums gorn. Ether double the structure quirks or swap them to armor or mobility buffs. Ether way I will keep playing my IS summoners.

Because it's hot. The map rotations right now, are either Oasis or a cold map. Half the maps picked are Oasis, the other half cold maps. Disappointing.

As have I... All the other maps up to now have just seemed flat. Frankly, Rubellite Oasis is a welcome change to the style of maps being released.


Which also brings me to my next thought... The way that the Rubellite in the map is laid out and textured, it's started reminding me of the 'Orichalt' from an anime that I recently saw, "ID-0"... I'm wondering, was this an intentional reference by PGI's Map Designers? Or have I simply just tripped on a horrifyingly big coincidence?

Does anyone else find it a bit sleazy that the only decent reward (pattern unlock) for the Thanatos event is hidden behind a collector's pack paywall?
You used to be able to get everything with just one variant if you did well. Now rewards are locked behind how many variants you buy and there's no challenge nor competition? Why?

Thank all those jerks out there who thought it funny to keep arranging things so they would get the best rewards. PGI had to react to them in a manner that would block further attempts from them. Thus, now any innocent bystander (including you and myself) have to deal with paywalls because of those jerks' crimes.

Seems pretty normal? Is it sleazy that they put some cockpit items, decals, paintjobs and 6.5m cbills behind a pre-order wall, or a hero mech or mechs with bonus c-bills/xp behind further paywalls? I think not. That's part of the MT business model.

Should I be complaining then that they hid rewards behind the Thanatos paywall (which I didn't buy)? Boo hoo you paid to win!!!eleven111
