You're going to want to get CASE in your side torsos. That way the explosion from the ammo won't spread to your CT.

For large laser vomit, potential candidates include:

Jester
Grasshopper 5H
Warhammer 6D
Thunderbolt Top Nep/5S
Black Knight 6B/7-L

You need to add a Narc Beacon, 2 Flamers, and 2 Small Lasers. Then it's perfect!

But on a serious note, what kind of specifics are you looking for out of your heavy-class laser vomit robbit? Speed? Agility? Durability? Pod space? Jets? Etc.

How about clan mechs?

Speed 70 kph at least, maybe around there, good heat management, and clan type.

Then pretty much any Clan heavy except the Nova Cat or Night Gyr would qualify, really.

I'd personally recommend the Hellbringer the most due to its hardpoint layout and humanoid body shape. Cauldron Born is another candidate but IMO its hardpoint spacing can be annoying with how wide it is and the hitboxes aren't as good.

If you want a faster and more aggressive style you can go with the Linebacker to run circles around most mediums while still packing a good punch.

Are any of those non-omnimechs? (as in no omnipods)

Also, has anyone noticed the Posted Image strange variantPosted Image of warhammer in my original post?

I noticed that strange variant. :P

For Clan heavies, unfortunately there is only a single non-Omni chassis in the form of the Orion IIC. It's not ideal for laser vomit in any way, being mostly either a brawler or trollish LRM boat.

This mech looks like its ready to pop when someone flicks a lighter on.

The Orion IIC - B looks good for my purposes. 4 Large lasers is about what I'm looking for.

Look at the variant. The rest will make sense.

How's this look?
Thinking of taking out 1 heat sink, +1 ammo, +1 light probe (if it counters ecm so I can get locks against light mechs with ecm).

How's this look?

First off: Arms are low slung and not great for mid-long range vomit without exposing over half your mech to bring your guns to bear.

Second: If you take Streaks without an Active Probe, you're gonna have a bad time.

1> My first fun mech was the supernova 1 with 6 er large lasers. I'm used to bringing my arms to bear (I don't like peeking, also moltenmetal seems to peek left and right rather than up and down with arm mounted stuff).

2> Sounds like -1 heat sink +1/2 ton ammo +1 active probe

:/

I might consider the ebon jaguar then (if peeking is that important). Unless there's another high mounted mech with 2 missile slots.

Well, there it is. Hopefully light active probe counters ecm too.
