Spring, you seem have to misunderstood something. The Founders are not getting early access to a released game, they are getting early access to Closed Beta. When the 7th of August rolls around, the game is still in Closed Beta. After the 7th has passed, maybe PDI will send out more invites to non-founders to Closed Beta, there is your chance to get in.

Besides of all that has been said: do you know what would happen if PGi would not restrict the random draws and everyone could get a key atm and then on 7th August 20k Players hit their servers at once?

They practically said that they don't want a disaster as has happened with D3, so what they are doing now is granting the Founders their early acces to the closed beta (thats what we paid for) in waves so that their servers won't crash and burn. That is the real reason behind all this.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind this as the Founders are already getting early access?

The founders offered money up front without having seen the product.
As part of that deal we get in early.

Don't be a dick. I am supporting a family of 5 on 32K a year that doesn't leave much left over.

Really? Pot meet kettle.

You like everyone else here has the option to wait for open beta to play for free. If you can't afford a founders pack, fine, you can't. Just be patient and wait for open beta.

Going off of the few posts I have seen about Founders and Beta keys lately, and I hope I am misinterpreting what I am reading, but it appears people are saying that as of now only the ones that bought the Founders packs are getting the Beta keys? Please tell me this is not the case. This is bothersome to me as I cannot afford the Founders packages at this time.

Ya know I don't feel sorry for anyone who cant afford the 30$. Stop eating out, renting movies and driving excessively so you don't need extra gas. call in favors from friends, look up all the punks that ow you money from back in the day, stop going over your minute cap on your cell phone (you know who you are), hell remove your 30$ unlimited txt feature for a month! There is no reason anyone over the age of 18 should not be able to generate 30$ easily... I mean theres still street corners right?

I have an income of around $2300 each month, and still I could allow myself to pay for the $120 legendary founder pack.
If someone cant afford to pay the small ammount of $30 for a founders pack, then I dont understand what you are complaining about, because you should in that case have more important things to worry about than playing a game that are not even finished yet.

Another thing it seems to me the OP is not getting, is that this is BETA not an early access to the game.
The game is not finished its still in a testing stage where not ll assets are in the game yet and those that are may not be working properly or be unbalanced.
That is what beta is for, to find the problems and fix them.

I paid the $120 a month ago and still have not been invited to the Beta. While I am a little disappointed, I do understand the process behind not letting everyone into the Beta at once. There are lots of factors as to why not all the Founders have been granted Beta access: machine specs, location, past Beta experience, posts (if you were accepted, part of the NDA is that you don't tell anyone that you were accepted), and so forth. So, I am just patiently waiting for my invite and if I don't get it, then I will see all of you on August 7th!

Would you even find the time to properly test the game with a family of 5?

The Founder's early access is beta access. We aren't getting early post-beta access. When the doors are open and the last reset is done, it's everyone in the pool.

waitaminute!
If i remember correctly, Russ said, that there will be no reset after 7 Aug!

I have seen such things done before, but it is usually the early access, which I do understand and am fine with. However, limiting the Beta pool to only the ones that bought the Founders packages is a little much I think.

I'm not asking to be allowed access to the early play on Aug 7th as I couldn't buy a package, but at least let the playing field be even for the dang Beta keys.

A) Not only Founders were sent beta keys
:D August 7th is not that early play date any longer, that is TBD.
C) I'm pretty sure open beta is the early play and that's OPEN to you and I.

Yeah, sucks to not live in NA apparently. Not one of my clan members is in the beta yet and we're 21 people.

They could not tell you if they were, in theory.

Look Guys, and Gals, I am not saying that you shouldn't get what you paid for.  I agree that since you Paid for the game you should be allowed early access.  You spent the money, it is your right.    Believe me I will be envious of all the Founders when the 7th comes and you all are playing the game.  I, on the other hand, will have to wait until after they let us non-founders in.  I am ok with that as I didn't invest in the founders package.  I just wanted the Beta invites to be on a level playing field.

:::EDIT:::  I was hoping that I was wrong in this matter but I see that I was not.  I was not trying to start a fight just express my opinion.

The thing is you're contradicting yourself, which makes it look like you're being deliberately obtuse. You say you understand why the founders get into the beta first, then you say you just want the beta invites "to be on a level playing field". You can't have it both ways.

Also, there are tons of founders who are still not in the beta yet, so if you "understand why the founders get into the beta first" then it should be immediately obvious why the non-founders are not in the beta yet. It's pretty simple logic really

Waited by the keys for hours to get my founders package, and still no Beta inv, so there are a lot of us out there who are going without and stuck waiting

I only recently bought the founders package so it's normal I don't have a key (yet?).

Anyways, this is the way it goes nowadays: supporters get benefits. I can't see anything wrong with that.

It is indeed a good marketing strategy but I hardly ever buy games for beta access. Only this MW game is an exception to the rule in this case >_<

So if I purchase the 60 dollar founder pack now, can I upgrade before the game comes out to the 120?

There is something to be said for non-founders getting a beta-key, especially if they are on the fence about stumping up for a founder package before the offer expires. The more people paying, the more funds for servers. support and further development.

@BJJ, yes you can. If you go back into the founder offer page, it'll show the option to upgrade.

There is a limited of time though, I believe, on how much longer the Founders program will be on sale for. So you'd have to upgrade it before the sale is over.

Well, I want to get into the founders club, I could probably swing 60 asap, but it looks like I have until the 7th to do the full 120. Good to know, thanks!

I do remember reading through the different Founders packages and while it did say you would be granted early access it never said ONLY Founders will get Closed Beta invites from this point forward. So, maybe I did miss that post.

Thats because Founders aren't the only one in the closed beta. Prior to any 'Founder' Getting into the beta there were 10K closed beta invites sent out. So as it stands Non-founders (unless a majority of them have since upgraded to Founders) equal about 35-40 percent of the close beta program. Yes that gap will close as time closes until the Aug 7th time line, however at that time you can expect to have a chance of getting into the closed beta as well.

I think its pretty obvious to anyone that he does understand that, given the fact he's responded to that statement already.
