Since I already had a Night Gyr Prime, I decided I needed a really good build for this second one. And this is what I came up with :D

Questions:
  • Can i swap in a twin turbo rotary engine?
  • What's the interior condition?
  • Are the Mugen jumpjets all in working condition?
  • Does it come with a cupholder?
Offering 5 million C-Bills for the bare chassis if in excellent/pristine condition.

Still wondering why the NGT is still uber nerfed with PPC gauss gone.
That mech should be brought in line with whats in its class.

Its a miserable thing to drive for its weight.

Its seriously like trying to move around in the anni...

Though, I dunno when I'm defending it...unnerfed or OP, I've always hated that mech.
NCT 4 lyfe.

The Night Gyr always felt awful to drive, for me.

1. No. This is a mech, not a Mazda. It requires an engine that can actually generate good HP for its weight and won't blow a seal the first time you climb a hill at speed.

2. The interior is in pristine condition. The owner before me was a little old lady from Pasadena who kept it in a rickety old garage and raised white gardenias. I suspect she barely drove the thing at all and only kept it as a conversation piece.

3. Mugen is overrated.

4. While it does have a cupholder, you would need to pay 500 MC if you actually wanted to put a Cup of Pop in it. Also, you would risk your pristine interior as the cup holder is only capable of holding the cup in place. The liquid inside is still free to slosh around as your mech walks, and no cheap plastic lid is enough to fight against that much shaking.

Yeah, it'd have to be an N/A... AE101 it is!

Good to hear, fair - pristine interior is important.

Not a problem.

Obviously I need to start making more obvious pop culture references.

Alternatively, maybe said pop culture references should be not be to things much older than I am :P

I still love them but at least bring it inline agility wise with other 75t mechs. A heavy with the agility of a big assault makes no sense.

But it works on hot maps so it's OP!!!!1!!1!!!1!!eleven!!!!

In fact, my Night Gyr B is the only mech I'll run the entirely-too-hot-to-normally-use Laser AMS on because it runs 2xGauss & 2xMG so it cares not at all if it's standing in lava while shooting at the big scary stompy robots trying to kill it.

Night Gyr also packs the firepower of an assault, so there was some balancing needed. They just need to roll back some of the twist angle nerfs now that we can't poptart Gauss/PPC anymore.

Of course, I sold my free Night Gyr, cause it's a Prime, and the only Night Gyr still worth using is a D variant. I already had a Prime, A, B and C collecting dust.

I dont know why people keep saying stuff like this, the night gyr is a 75 tonner with an XL 300, endo-steel and FF. It's got less tonnage available than the Orion IIC due to the 4 locked JJs. By that logic the Orion IIC should get nerfed too. Its not like the night gyr gets extra tonnage or anything.

Weapons should be balanced on a per weapon basis.

I recall you called to nerf all clan heavies because 81kph and laservomit. Well there you have a nerfed clan heavy, enjoy.

the night gyr doesnt go 81kph though...

youre saying I should enjoy a nerfed clan heavy that was nerfed for none of the reasons that I said other clan heavies should be nerfed?

that makes no sense.

so yeah unnerf the slowass night gyr and nerf the clan heavies that actually need to be nerfed instead.

its fast heavies that laser vomit like the linebacker they should be nerfing. not slowass heavies like the night gyr lmao.

linebacker rushes are like the least fun thing you can face in faction warfare right now. crab rushes are hilarious at least. linebacker rushes are just ZZzzZzz.

an IS assault maybe. not a clan assault though.

if I want to play something slow and unagile, ill just play a clan assault instead, and get better firepower for my trouble.

the night gyr needs its agility unnerfed for me to want to use it again.

AS for the night gyr prime, Ive been having fun with 6 UACs. Its not a top tier heavy but its a fun build.

What makes no sense is total lack of consistency in your ideas. You want heavies going 81 kph nerfed, and guess how it can be done? They wont take the speed away, that is TT speed translated to MWO and PGI does not changes TT values. What they can do however is lower their agility to nightgyr's level of bad.

So here you have a mech without agility, nerfed exactly how you ask to nerf other heavies. Enjoy it.

2 Gauss + 2 Heavy LL + 2 ERML (80 alpha) is Clan Assault level firepower. Actually, that's the build on a Mad Cat Mk II-1 (or you could do 2 Gauss + 2 ERLL + 2 ERML). The more you post, the more it seems that you don't really understand the Night Gyr.

75 Ton Clan mech that packs the punch of a 90 Ton Clan mech. I use it when I need to fit more firepower into the tonnage contraints of Group Queue, or perhaps fit it into the class/tonnage contraints of Comp play.
