with mech con almost here, what are you hoping to hear from PGI?

Me personally, i want to hear they have secured the rights to keep making the game for another 10 years! Posted Image But outside of that Id really like to see Some new maps teased, City and others..

What about you?

Engine change would be welcomed enormously. Quite certainly it would also cause marital issues,... :D

I really don’t expect anything to be announced that would interest me in playing or spending more. Even if they announce the one thing a number of us want, I know it will be implemented poorly and never fixed.

IS OmniMechs alongside some actual attempt to balance IS & Clan XL engines. Preferably the idea of different XL engines for BattleMechs & OmniMechs.

Yeah, this. Sure, more maps would be nice, and there's a bunch of Mechs I'd like to see added, but that all pales to the prospect of never having to hear "Achieved with Cry Engine" ever again.

I don’t want to hear a damn thing unless it involves an apology for, followed by an explanation as to why, and then an immediate and detailed plan how they intend to fix...the awful state of balance in this game.

Now since that obviously will never happen, for humor’s sake I guess I would want to hear a follow up to PGI’s balance assertions of 6 months ago (6% between techs and 8% between chassis). I want to hear them say with a straight face that after 5 months of near constant “balance passes” that balance is now nearly perfect. I want them to assert -with a totally serious demeanor- that the Deathstrike really is no better in overall performance than a Saint Ives Blues. That the Timberwolf is still such an overperforming monster that it needs its negative quirks, that the Linebacker is so delicate that it needs its defensive quirks. I want them to explain how clan light mechs carrying 8 LMGs are in fact no better in their performance than IS mechs of the same weight carrying only 4. I want them to tell us that their oft touted “data” shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that balance is truly as perfect as they pretend. Then I want them to segue from that obvious pile of tripe to their promises of how great MW5 is going to be and then I want to hear the audience laugh.

Mechwarrior Online is being sold to Harebrained Schemes for further development, so that PGI can continue its single-minded focus on MW5.

Then HBS can announce:
  • adding lore, supply lines and an ongoing economy to Faction Play
  • a contest for community designed maps
  • the removal of Ghost Heat in a major weapon and balance reset
  • the use of 'vexacious litigation' damages owed them by Harmony Gold to further develop MWO
