I mean, it's not the greatest damage, but it could work. I would rather just do the same build without ECM on a Warhammer and have better hitboxes though.

Anonymous, the Thanatos is an Inner Sphere Mech.
The screenshot you posted is of a Clan player getting good damage.
You asked for Inner Sphere to use a Mech considered poor.
Can you not connect the dots why people aren't responding in the way you expected? Would you like me to use a crayon?

C'mon guys, Data ... errm ... I mean anonymous just want to give some build suggestion for a crappy mech.
The screenshot is kinda "weird" a.k.a irrelevant but yeah ...

Actually the biggest take away message, aside from the insane amount of damage DATA did which is great cause you won, is that one guy in the other team didn't want to use his mechs.

Also, it is typically forum ettiquette to hide the names of players that were less... successful in a drop to avoid unintentional shaming... becaise intentional shaming of people you don't know is even WORSE form.

So you want a cookie for running up a cricket score on a cold map that caters to clan laser vomit poking. GG sir, you have leaned how to exploit game imbalance, map imbalance, pug shields and and pug teams in general like a pro. Im 100% positive that your skills developed in MWO will serve you well in life.

TBH my take away from this is that Data farmed damage all game and did very little beyond that to help his team acrually win the game. The damage numbers being that lopsided it should have been a stomping not a close victory.

Should i trust this random guy on what he says on faction play? Here is the answer

I can vouch that Anonymous223 has given me some excellent build advice and strategy tips in recent months which have paid off well.

And I have 307 Mechs and have been playing daily for 5 years ... so you'd think I'd know everything by now ;)

i just want some mediocre IS players to use proper mechs

xl engine, dual gauss in side torsos and no back armor is a horrible combo for mediocre players.
Mess up your torso twisting - boom, you're dead. A decent mg light flanks you - boom, you're dead.
And ecm on extreme long range is kind of debatable.

Wait, isn't that his intention? Getting IS players to use gauss+xl so he can have an easier time farming them? Posted Image

We are pretty close to deciding the OP was a sarcastic epeen stroke. Very little else between the title, OP, and the screen shot makes sense...

Well whooopedy-blimey-dooo who would have thought that Gausspoptarting with high mounts might yield damage!?

And then I looked at the actual build...

Putting highly explosive Gaussrifles into the humongous frail sides of an XL mech makes this the most suicidal build I have seen in a long while, only topped by the 11 ERPPC Dire Wolf.
THis is not a weapons platform, its a walking hand grenade. Good luck dealing with any enemy mech deciding to shoot you, especially if its a clan laserboat (I hear they are doing quite well right now).
