What you stated was your opinion and not fact. Your opinion is not truth. You are wrong.

It is not my opinion that when jump jet feathering , the hit boxes are wonky. It is a FACT. I agree with previous posting that they "fixed" it to a degree but is still around. ( Not as rampant as previously seen). To deny it is to collude with toxic meta pundits who leech more and more enjoyment out of "MechWarrior" "A Battletech game TM".

So a T1 is complaining about Bunny hopping. because it makes things harder to hit, and is threatening to name and shame, well name and shame, not to mention black mail, can sit you with a nice ban, so I'd think about that one carefully.

Others are calling those that do it cheap.

Personally I think your looking for excuses, for your lack of ability to judge the pilots jump and dodge patterns.

The exploit is fixed, P.G.I took their own sweet time about it, but it's been fixed for over a year.

Maybe there is some grey area over small jump capable and the clan digigrade (huntsman etc) leg mechs created after the fix, that should be looked into, and it's worth pushing for on Russ's Twitter. But, unless someone can come up with clear video evidence it's bust, I'll side with P.G.I on this one, until there's something official.

Try reporting people for bunny hopping, if they get banned, it's not OK, otherwise it's OK Posted Image

Really only seems to be a big deal with the assassin. That mech has such broken hitboxes that any other issue is really magnified. Fix that broken mech - problem goes away.

You need to do it to survive longer in lighter armored mechs. Deal with it. If the engine allows it, it will be used.

I don't begrudge people who do it, but I do think there should be a greater delay before Jumpjets start refreshing. That way there is a constraint on how many times people bunny hop before they have to let their jets refuel.

There's no reason to take lots of jumpjets for jumping on anything other than the clan omnis that have them locked in. Because they don't jump, they hover. You only need 1 or 2 to hop and get up a few of the ridges/buildings in the game.

Also, you'd see less hopping if the jumpjet turn wasn't faster than mech turn speeds. :P

It is your opinion that it is a problem or that it has not been fixed or addressed to your particular liking.

As well the only toxicity going on in this thread right now is you. You don't like meta or perceived meta? Great then do your own thing. There will however always be meta. Maybe it one day will swing to something you enjoy or are good at.

If you are not enjoying the game and how the majority of players want to play it, there is a battletech game on the horizon that seems to be better suited to the so called purists...

No, I'm pretty sure that stating something that is unsupported by anything but anecdotal evidence and then finishing with

Not sure but I feel like you're proving my point. Toxicity? Check. Collusion? I'll have to check with our Left leaning FBI to get on that. Evil conspiracy? Don't get me started.
And it is not anecdotal. Something I personally have witnessed. Lately not as bad as OP states. But you are drawing this out and I have not seen op since first page. So lets disagree. I'm done.

So anyway...

Jump jets take up space and weight that could be spent on other things; armor, weapons, ammo, heatsinks, etc.

So using those jets with skill, and avoiding some incoming damage, is entirely appropriate. It's no different than the other things you spend space and weight on. You build your mech as best you can and suit it to how you like to play.

It's lame to ask for it to be changed.

If there are bugged animations in the game those should be fixed, if you have evidence of that report it as a bug.

I think using jjs to spread damage should be a legit tactic, it's a shame if bugged animations make that look like an exploit. However I've seen too many hyperbolic claims about hitboxes people think are broken when they're actually just missing, I'm going to need to see convincing evidence to believe any such claims at this point.

I think it's completelt wrong to report players for using jumpjets to spread damage. Bugs should be reported as such, not projected as a blame game between players.
