No man, it's totally the Crusader!

I don't even care what it's name is, I shall now consider it to be the Crusader, henceforth.

or, the Marauder II, if I miss my guess. With the so-called suit against PGI/Harebrained Schemes falling apart, and I believe Russ and Co. are reaching out to Big West, and saying,"Hey, you guys own the rights to these designs. Can we use them?" Crusader would be nice as well as the Marauder II. It'll give us another missile boat for the Inner Sphere, and a Jump Jet capable one.

Well, as long as it's not an IS mech, i think it'll be fine.

I can live with this reinterpretation of the Crusader.

Well that looks like a Heavy or an Assult. Definitely looks kinda like a Maruder shape.

So is this going to be their thing every mechcon? One PGI original every year? I guess I can live with that...

It looks small.

While my initial thought was it looks like a locust or maybe the Flea if the right torso AC is anything to go by it has to be a bit heavier.

And the Flea doesn't have enough tonnage for a UAC/10 + SRM24...

Yeah, weight looks light-mediumish.

I doubt they'd build up the release of "only" another rank-and-file, old BT 'mech like this. If it's not going to be one of the big classics (like, yeah, the Crusader), it's probably a PGI original. Something needs to be "special" about it.

it looks like it has a large laser in the other arm/sidetorso thingy too. because itd be kindve stupid to have just one small or medium laser. its gotta be a large laser.

so its almost certainly a heavy, at least 60-70 tons

Quote

Yeah, weight looks light-mediumish.

but what light/medium can have that loadout?

If its an IS mech its at least 70 tons, and thats with an XL, which that thing should never even use.

if its a clan mech it could be 60 tons be the 60 tonner clans have been asking for

Could be PGI's spin on the Argus.Posted Image
It would make sense considering PGI is trying to add in mechs from MWLL.

Yeah, because the Argus clearly has quad SRM6 split between both arms and a UAC/10 instead of a RAC/5 on its main loadout...

They've done more inconsistent things in the past.

Also
AGS-3D The 3D variant changes it to a long range combat 'Mech. Its primary weapons are a pair of Ultra Autocannon/5's and an LRM-10 missile launcher. It has a pair of Medium Lasers for support and a Machine Gun array to deter infantry attacks.

If this variant exists, than they could easily swap some stuff out for the loadout on the picture.

It's absolutely not the Argus.

If you look closely at the PGI mech, the UAC is in the side torso (same type of mount as the laser), while the Argus' ballistic is in the arm.

I'm guess is it's an IS heavy that isn't 65 tons (unless they want to make it overlap with the Roughneck for some reason)

My guess on hardpoints:

2B
2E
4M

its definitely not an argus the loadout doesnt match

its got UAC10 in side torso, two SRM6s in each arm, and presumably a large laser in the other side torso

assuming those are even the arms... i dont even know lol. it has a weird configuration.

no argus matches that.
