The hero seems to be popular if you wanna spend mc. For the standard versions, just pick the one with the hardpoints you prefer, the chassis seems to support most styles of play (lbx and srm brawler, gauss and laser vomit, etc.).

Thing is that you will spend over 15$ worth of mc for 1 variant while you could get 3 for 20 as mechpack.

Deathstrike is still the best assault in the game and likely will be even after nerfs, unless it gets hit with 100 tonner agility. even then it'd still be powerful

Only ones worth getting is the MCII-1 and the Deathstrike.
The rest suck, save for the MCII-4, Which has ballistic arms to mount like a Kodiak-3

My apologies, I got the basic pack and forgot they aren't out for cbills yet (big duhhh on my part). So as others have stated, wait for the cbill release.

The deathstrike is the one all the meta try hards are using if you want to be cool.

LA/RA 1 ERPPC, 1 ERML
LT/RT 1 ERML 1 LRM 15
LA/RA 1 HLL, 1 MPL
LT/RT 1 MPL, 1 LRM 15
Both versions come with Standard Jump Jets.
However, I do plan on getting the Death Strike at least.

Their height is a serious disadvantage, even on Deathstrike with no missile ears you take hits from all sorts of directions that you thought you had cover from. They can't hide behind much and I just don't enjoy piloting them. I find the SNV and MAD-IIC to both be superior chassis.

4 SRM6 2 LB20 "THe Scorch Build"
2 Gauss 4 ERML 2 ATM 6, my go to build. Not great but it's versatile.
2 Gauss 2 HLL 2 ERML "Discount Death Strike"
2 Gauss 2 ERLL 4 ERML "The DeathStrike Build"
2 UAC5 2 UAC10 "We miss the Kodiak"

The hard point locations are significantly better on the Madcat MkII. I like the Marauder IIC, but it's a knuckle dragger outside of a couple of hardpoints.

Bad advice. If you got two they should be the MCII-2 and Deathstrike, getting both the 1 and the Deathstrike is buying two Deathstrikes, but one is just crappier. If you're avoiding MC/cash then MCII-2 and MCII-1 or just MCII-1. The MCII-2 can do an excellent Scorch and the MCII-4 is a downgrade from both the Kodiak and the better gaussvomit builds on the 1 and Deathstrike.
