Everyone who has signed up may have their own account and pilot name but, what if you had other relatives or friends who also wanted to try the game without ruining your progress? Well, in-game profiles are perfect for that purpose. Even though they have to use your account to log in first, they can start there own adventure within you account. Let's say you have a Steiner profile, your friend or relative can start their own Davion profile. You could use a guest profile if you want to see how each individual faction differs from others. In-game profiles are a good way for family & friends to play Mechwarrior Online if they don't feel comfortable about registering.

Like this example:

Account: Will9761

Pilot Names:
Will9761
[ Your Pilot name ]
[ Your Pilot name ]
[ Your Pilot name ]
[ Your Pilot name ]
[ Your Pilot name ]

Pretty sure that is going to be prohibited by the EULA?

Except this is a free-to-play game, so there is zero need for this. All they need to do is play on your computer if they don't want to download the whole client.

EDIT: Heck, even that's not much of an issue. If the game is around 4GB (what's listed under system specs for free HDD space), a thumb drive with a copy of the client files is enough. Just have them install and start the patching process to get the game set up in their computer's Registry, then copy the files from the thumb drive over. I did this with City of Heroes for a couple of dorm-mates in college so they only had to wait ~5min for the whole thing to be ready.

You do know that once you have the client installed anyone should be able to login and logout of it. So making a generic account for your family should be as easy as registering a name to this site and making both the username and password public to your family.

I just wanted to mention this for people who have relatives and friends that wanted to share the experience of the game without having to watse time and other information to make their own individual accounts for this purpose.

Since this is a free to play game, what would stop them from just creating their own accounts?
If the game is already installed all they have to do is register on the site here and then log in and play with their registered account.

I know that they would use your account to play the game, but once that person is in-game they may create their pilot name without using yours. So again it is for people who want to play the game if they do not feel comfortable about offering their e-mail adresses with their other information to do it.
