Since I could only pick one, I chose the Spider. I'd been praying for months that it would be in game and I squealed like a little schoolgirl when it was announced. It may be light on armament and armor, but it's fast as all get out and I believe it will excel in a scouting role. The other one I can't wait to pilot is the Centurion. It's an excellent all around design, and while I've never been very partial to it's looks in the past, the new redesign looks sick!

Centurion 9AL and the Awesome in its variants are my favorites.

Well... for me, it's the Hunchback. Ever since the MechCommander intro, I liked the Hunchback along with the Timber Wolf. There's also the Raven and Centurion, not to mention the Atlas and the Awesome... Catapult. Do we HAVE to pick just one? And can we pick mechs NOT out yet?

So far the Spider, because of it's ridiculas speed and jumping capabilities.

Cataphract definitely. You never see it in any other MW games, it's got the best name ever, and it serves the heavy cavalry function that I most want to play. Plus the different variants offer a good bit of weapon customization.

Atlas. Massive firepower, massive armor, death's-head appearance - what's not to love?

Exactly

Who needs speed when you got an LRM20 and an AC20?

While I think the Atlas looks really cool, the Stalker is ingrained in my mind from childhood as the primere Battlemech design. It looks like I'll be playing Raven, but the Stalker is dear to me.

No offense to ya mate but Atlas are so hilarious to mess with.

"Hi I am a Raven, i am now gonna circle around, machine gunning your butt. You can't turn fast enough or rotate quick enough.Oh you were so distracted by me you didn't notice i just tagged you for a missile volley?Shame that eh?"

XD

Anyway in the Long Range support department the Catapult will most likely be my go to.I just need to tweak its speed and mobility a bit.

As for my other choice, it would be the Raven.Trust me if i can load it with a tagging laser and nothing but machine guns.I will.

Trebuchet, for sure. Get a Trebby 3-C or 7-M (3-C is Star League original, 7-M is the lostech refit) and you can probably have 6-8 tons of LRM fire support moving at close to 100 km/h. Perfect fire support for a mobile lance of mediums/lights, and will be able to re-position extremely easily.

Cataphracht. It's never been in before and it's appearance is both welcome and well overdue. Not to mention that Alex Iglesias has done wonders with its reimaging.

I have not had a chance to play with it but the #1 has go to the Atlas. Perhaps the best balanced mech at this point in the game. Yes it can be distroyed if you have a couple of friends. You may have to bring other Asualt mechs up a peg so it is a little more balanced. But do not touch it, that is what I have always thought the Atlas should be. Leave maybe bring up some others with a little more portion. The Awsome is a prine in older days the PPC was more than two points better. You can hit the Atlas with 4 alphas and its still comming. I will get to about the little guys when I get one but from what I have some small could have and easier time distroying an Atlas than Medium or Asualt.

Cataphract, Why? It looks just like an Avatar, similar loadout, same tonnage, JJ capable and is pretty badass.

on that note can't wait until us IS pilots get out IS omni 'mechs and bring the hurt big-time!

I love the spread of votes. Except for the Commando, they're mostly even.

Also, my vote goes to the Catapult. Gotta love a missile boat.

You know I like the Raven, fits well into the information station. Still, picked the catapult cause I just find it the most useful.

came back and changed to raven. Oh well never liked being far away anyway. Feels like you're on mars.

Although I'm inclined to say the Altas, the Catapult is by far my favorite so far.

I do prefer light scout mechs. I know a sensible Lyran?

Hunchback is my fav, thanks in no small part to MW4. Strapping into this med and being able to out-maneuver larger mechs while crippling them with that AC20 was a great feeling. My brother my love his Zeus, but I shot him out of that thing far more often than he did me.
