If you are wholly uninterested in chipping in or perhaps leading a group of pugs than this thread really isn't for you anyways.

I think people are reacting to the fact that in reality, we could do EXACTLY what you ask and get called out by yet others for farming. The reality is that we really and truly cannot win... when we try to win. No matter what we are hurting someone's feerings.

Yes of coarse there is always the don't push dropzones folks, and don't kill em fast.

That's not my bag.

No problem with good folks doing what they are good at.

Playing the mode with the focus being on combat first in my opinion is better for the game. It is also what I consider to be more fun.

Don't want anyone to not play their best, just feel that an organised team up against randoms in this kind of event, could possibly suspend the objective rushing for a minute to try and let a good fight be the determining factor for being able to get some loot bags.

Really hope that some folks are also willing to maybe help out. Drop calling or forming adhoc groups. Sending out invites for pugs to join their TS... That is really all I am hoping for. I know there are going to be a few units that instead will just enjoy the fast drops.

Funny how it is Cheekiez and his tomfoolery and excellent art is actually the one person in the thread that posted something very helpful....knowledge and insane lurm boats are power I suppose.

I came here looking up FP before the event...

And for me it looks like...


Angry little kids losing because people play for objectives instead of only doing team deathmatch.


Maybe you should lobby PGI to remove all objective wins.

Instead you claim you want "people to do something for the community"... how sad with false pretenses...
Anybody not totally stupid realizes you only care about your K/D and at the look of it.. you are bad at tactics and lose,
so your precious W/L ratio is affected.

we just had MechCON.. did you do any lobbying.. no?

Winning is siege attack is hard enough as it is.. removing the objective win just makes it pointless.


If a team can lose in 15 minutes in FP... they deserve it IMO.

If you don't like the game as is.. maybe go play something else? (and have a cookie while your at it)

I don't know, maybe read all of the posts to get an idea?

My unit's wlr is something around 5? It's that low because most of us are not affraid to pug and pick up some losses that way. Generally we win 10 for every 1 loss.

So you think I am angry about losing, which is something I don't really have to see that often?

This is not a sour post.

It is hopefully a place to recruit like minded community oriented folks who might be willing to lend a hand.

Complaining about the douchenozzle Assassin rushes probably put you on the wrong foot from folks who deal with complaints like this ... by people running 3 waves of Linebackers. The point of your thread is sound, just your presentation was wanting, and now all the epeens are a'swinging.

Tone it back folks and look at the point of his thread.

If you need assistance running mixed Pug groups poke me when you see me and I'll help shepherd the new ones in the right direction. It's surprising how much a newer person can appreciate a win or two and a friendly voice, and make them want to try again.

No it is as simple as firing up the account you and I are friends on and not launching when you are in the lobby.

If you want to play out of spite and all the bad things that have happened to you in quick play that is on you.

I am not going to waste time trying to get a decent fight if that is not something you are interested in doing.

I will help others to try and get fights and that is what this thread is about.

If you are not interested in helping pugs out, that ok. If you guys decide you will do nothing but avoid fights and win as quick as possible because this will give you a bunch of tags on planets or whatever reason, that is great too. Your choice and I understand. Can't stop ya. If that is how you want to go though I can help folks out to face other teams that will fight.

So, if you are not here to help out or give some tips or whatnot, then you should move along because this thread is totally not for you then.

Ah it did get some attention and was meant to be lighthearted.

Really happy for your post though and hope more folks such as yourself pop by and less folks that want to not help and come by for some unknown reason to fan the flames.

I betcha there will also be a unit or two, or a couple of their guys who will be on board with giving out their TS and maybe bringing the objectives to a sliver and then fight, knowing at least it is in the bag when needed.

As much as there is this brown sea, there are so many awesome folks in this community. I watch RJ Bass's stream a lot and OldBob10025 is someone I respect for his input into the community. We have a plethora of folks like this who are actively helping people in this game, and in that spirit I hope more of these types drop by the thread and are willing to help.
