Nothing at all. I like WoT, it's a great game. I'm not too fond of their payment scheme, but that doesn't really prevent me from having fun in the game.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for patriotism, but you're barking up the wrong tree this time. MWO isn't American, it is Canadian. Also considering the time that it takes to write a program (let alone a video game) the size of WoT I'd say you should ease up on the 'proper' comments.

Wot is an excellent arcade game of tanks and the payment model is 100% on the purchaser to drop a few bucks.

There is literally no reason to spend real life money on the game unless you are impatient.

<--impatient :P

Well FASA was an American company so I can see where the original poster would say what he said.

What a concept - I was just playing WoT... in fact, it is minimized in the task bar, and I will be going back to play some more shortly :P

Gotta have my fix until I get in the beta :(

Hey WOT refugee, welcome to the MWO forums. There are many threads started by WOT players such as yourself. I would ask you to use the search function, but for some reason its not working. I will have to fill out a support ticket for this problem.

Still playing WoT on and off few times a week. But can't wait to get my hands on these babies and really stomp around the battlefields.
WoT has some good points, but those usually go away with matchmaking and some ***** players. really hope that the matchmaking system will work better in this game.

WOT is hardcore swinging toward the Russian line because its what 70% russian populace.
WOT since day one of CB on the NA server i has leaned USSR with only glimmering stints in between patches with atruly balanced game, until the make Slope better than raw thickness, or Skills that now reduce ground friction etc and basically cancel out the only negative side to the Rus line, the Accel and Turning, cancel those out with crew training is like giving the US a "Mechanic" ability to add 15% more Armor on its Tanks.

Im very much looking forward to MWO and maybe starting my old Corp/Clan Warriors of Tyr and giving it a go as a free company/Merc Group I am afterall a direct decendant of Harold Hardrada one of the very first truly successful Free Company Commanders with large scale [5k or more] Merc forces.

I also hope my mouse hand is as fast as my gun hands are INRL 3 Tours in the sandbox got the geek in me salavating to use my RL battle knowledge and apply it to a game with more stratagey and team work than WOT.

Canada is still an american country, or not? Like Mexico also is somehow. :P
OP diddn't wrote 'proper US based game'.

Regarding WoT, I like it a lot and will go on playing it.

Still love to play WoT, but started playing tabletop Mech back in 91 during a typhoon party in Okinawa.

Love the PC Mech games too, and can't wait til this one comes out.

In the meantime, will grind tanks some more, and fly around in closed beta World of Warplanes (which I also love).

Happy Hunting!

I'm still playing WoT but am counting down the days until August 7th :P

Actually installed a new mod tonight, the disable chat mod; I don't know about the US server but on the Euro server the amount of insults and abuse from (usually dead) players is truly horrifying, I'm hoping that the atmosphere on MWO will be much friendlier.

WoT has so great a potential but a plethora of seemingly minor and easily fixable problems, im sure a canadian game developer could easily do better especially with such an established product.

Feel free to skip the rest, its kind of a rant.

WoT is broken right now. It was okay a few patches ago. But I am still getting "penetrating" hits with a 105 howitzer that does no damage. Invisable tanks, poor machmaking, "cloaking" tanks, phantom rounds, Crash to desktops, Red screens, I can go on.
Recently I got charged over 9k for defending myself against a team killer that hit me intintionally at the begining of the match with no provication, i was in a teir 3 tank. sent in a ticket, With a Replay, thinking it was erronious. They said the automated system "is currently working as intended" and they wont do anything because its "handled by the automation" Still have the replay and a copy of the tickets.

Indeed.. the OP sounds a little racist to me.
