First off, I am a Grand Super Soud Potato, aye-up ! (someone will lookup my .72 W/L)

I just can't find a Scouting 250 match score this event? The last time, 1 - 250 MS for every 6 games. Now, zero....

I've given up on the FP part of the event. It's just non-value added: too much stress for so very little gain. Last match had LRM's everywhere.... I ran out of AMS ammo ! Even team drops aren't working? (It would be nice if Tina responded as to why the 250 was used as a baseline?)

Is anyone else having trouble? I wonder what PGI was thinking? A grinch thing????

I was running about 1 in 4, just like last event.

If you're having trouble switch to QP for a few matches then go back. It helps you 'dodge' enemy clubbers and friendlies who are an active detriment to your team and make winning impossible.

Unless you're one of those friendlies, of course.

Streaks my friend. Load up on streaks... the equivalent of turning a potato green with solanine.

Take streaks, spread your damage around.

I really wish that kills, assists, and components destroyed would count more towards your score because my biggest problem is getting high enough damage numbers before the other team is dead.

It's probably easier for clanners though because IS mechs have more health.

Yup.

They could separate the FW requirement into two tiers. 200+ match score gives you one loot bag. 250+ gives you a second.

I run a streak Huntsman.... Just can't get a match over 249....seem stuck between 180 and 249. This will be the first MWO event I haven't been able to complete. Playing with team mates is far worse so we've stopped completely.

Oh well, I do have a neat Japanese destroyer that produces a lot of Torpedo damage consistently..... If you can't in one game, there are a lot of other to spend money in !!!

If any of you'all are having the same issue, chime in ! As for you "experts" where it's all wine and roses, good for you ! Just remember, that when we (average players) are all gone, the days of endless stomps will be over......

And KO's post is a good solution.............I wonder why is wasn't entertained?

Use SRM6's on Huntsman.

There is no variant - Just get the pods that get you to 6 missile launchers.

If you want a clan SSRM for Scout, yes the one to get is the Huntsman Prime, then swapping in IIRC arm omnipods to get 6 missile hardpoints.

Also, while Streaking away, consider bringing at least a tag, possibly a narc, the bonuses it gives count heavily towards match score, also your wallet since you'll probably also have another streak boats around

PGI wants u to play Invasion. Not grind bags in Scouting. Dont use SRM or Laser. U kill the targets to fast. Streaks and maybe ATM should work.

MG/Laser Nova might be a good option. 6x6 Clan Streaks don't seem enough to punch through an IS 55-tonner''s armor. About the only time I've seen streaks work out for clanners is if they don't get focused down first.

This one ATM shadow cat was extremely obnoxious in Polar Highlands, and was able to kite us all over the map and do lots of damage before he ran out of ammo. I got super salty over that one.

I have been doing invasion but it seems to me the key during the last FP event was to not go for the quick kills.

non-artemis massed SRM to CT instead of the traditional legging was key. Also dropping as a premade is often too lethal. PUG on PUG is highly condusive to a qualifying matchscore. Also don't forget your UAV bonuses.

The odds will improve throughout the event as more people get done with the QP portion.

Just bought it and slap 6x SSRMs on that bad boy. Dropped into first game, did 542 damage, survived and got 324 match score. Probably beginner's luck.

Update: Yup, beginner's luck. It all went downhill from there.
