And try not to blow yourself up overriding. That's just rude.

I've had several matches tonight where the Clan team was so light (And if I'm honest, bad) that if you added up all the damage we did, one person had enough to get a loot bag. But of course, we all participated, so no one got anything. Stop it, guys.
Be cool.

While I'll admit to losing my cool and being 'Player XYZ' from time to time, in this case, it's just a fact that bring a light is screwing someone over. It has little to do with builds, and everything to do with the cruel math that is match score and how damage is the defining feature.
If you bring a light, someone on the other team is getting shafted, absolutely. Not because they'll lose the match, but because they're now working towards what has become a statistically less probably result.
Unless, of course, you know the guy running around in this Commando...
Because seriously, the **** is that. In scouting.
EDIT: The above is just an example, I've seen a lot of jacked up, nonsensical, objectively useless stuff like that lately. That particular build was run by someone I suspect hasn't played since Season 2 though. I kind of wish I could see him again to chat with him. I got a bit rough with him.
In my defense though, I only really exploded after the third match in a row where I asked him to please stop, and he needed to go to QP or Youtube to get his bearings.

Toxic guy's name (at least to me) is Seto Kaiba. Because no matter how much he top decks in a MWO match, he gets salty as fk when he loses or finds a reason to be mad at his team.
Nobody likes a Kaiba, so don't be a Kaiba.

thats why scout mode should be changed to 2/2 and/or 150 tons

Bringing some lights, if done right, can be a viable way to win in scouting (but its best done as a group, not solo). But you're right, there is less damage to be had in the process, and winning is not necessarily the ultimate goal now. Seems rather counterproductive that a contest of skill/planning/tactics is not laser focused on the win. Lol PGI, lol.

Indeed.
It's also opened the mode up to a lot of trolling. I don't know about IS side, but there seems to be a lot of Clan teams out there who's sole goal is to piss away IS players time by dragging matches out and refusing to engage, aiming at shunting out the IS brawling builds we need to actually get the MSR score. Some will even say so in All chat.
Really classy players, and a real dumb *** event structure.

Now that's a shame. On the rare occasion I play scouting during events (group drops only) the units I drop with will often let the last mech remaining on the enemy team do as much damage as possible (assuming we're winning easily) before ending the game to help them get a better match score. But the last time I did that, I think the required match score was only 100 or something. Not sure it would help with a 250 requirement.

Though tag bonuses help as well.

well the problem is that match score rewards non-lethal damage too much and lethal damage not enough.
you should get more points for killing mechs quickly and efficiently than by farming them slowly with streaks

oh hell no, if i can get the rewards from scouting rather than playing invasion i'll take scouting every time. while invasion can be fun with a semi coordinated team, there is also considerably more room for frustration and getting farmed, assaulting boreal vault anyone?

Thinking about it a bit, streaks really aren't that scary in some of the good IS lights with the armor quirks. I'd be more worried about streaks as a Clan light even against IS ones, especially since they have much more DPS than the Clan ones for that weight they take up.
